Looking at the familiar status panel, Gilgamesh nodded slightly.
The panel before him was actually Young Gil's status panel. He had examined it carefully when he first drew the template, so he wasn't surprised.
The only issue was that Young Gil's status panel was based on the Type-Moon World, and didn't apply to the Bleach world he currently inhabited.
To give the simplest example:
Young Gil was a Heroic Spirit. Although he possessed Independent Action at rank A, both his existence and the use of his Noble Phantasms required mana.
But the Bleach world clearly had no mana from the Type-Moon World, much less a Master who could supply a Heroic Spirit with mana.
That meant that once Young Gil's own mana ran out, Gilgamesh probably wouldn't be able to use the power granted by Young Gil's template anymore.
Thinking this over, Gilgamesh opened the exchange shop and found the King's Path character templates available in the Bleach world.
He skimmed through the available templates for kings from the human world, then dismissed them.
He'd found that nearly all the human kings' templates had no special powers. As a result, they cost very few points to exchange, but had little potential for growth.
In the end, Gilgamesh found only four King's Path character templates that suited his needs.

[Sosuke Aizen (Childhood) (Growth Potential: A): 500 million points.]
[Yhwach (Childhood) (Growth Potential: S): 1 billion points.]

In the Bleach storyline, Barragan was an ancient Menos and the former King of Hueco Mundo.
Aizen, meanwhile, defeated Barragan and became the new King of Hueco Mundo.
Yhwach was the Son of the Soul King and the King of the Wandenreich.
As for the Soul King, he could be called the King of the World in Bleach.
Gilgamesh was puzzled, though, about why the Soul King's growth potential was only rank S, the same as Yhwach's.
After all, the Soul King had displayed far greater strength than Yhwach in the Bleach storyline. The three realms had even been separated through the Soul King's power.
And the Young Gil template he currently possessed was also rank S.
Gilgamesh didn't know why, but he'd learned one thing:
Even when templates had the same growth potential, the number of King's Way Points needed to exchange for them could differ.
More importantly, Gilgamesh didn't have anywhere near enough King's Way Points to exchange for these templates.
He also discovered that there were no character templates for the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13, Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, or for the members of the Royal Guard.
The King's Path System hadn't classified them as King's Path characters.
Thinking about it, that made sense. They could all be considered subordinates of the Soul King.
Gilgamesh stopped dwelling on the matter. He didn't continue browsing the Bleach character templates, but instead started looking through the other items.
Before long, he found what he was looking for.

Spiritual Pressure was the unique power system of the Bleach world.
Simply put, the stronger one's Spiritual Pressure, the stronger one was.
In the original story, Sosuke Aizen had once said, "A battle between Soul Reapers is a battle of Spiritual Pressure."
As long as Gilgamesh acquired initial Spiritual Pressure, he could keep increasing it with the King's Path System's stat-boosting function. He wouldn't have to worry about his future growth.
The only problem was that he couldn't even afford 100 King's Way Points.
Thinking this, Gilgamesh couldn't help looking toward Renji Abarai and Rukia. They're major characters in the story. If I recruit them, I should be able to get those 100 King's Way Points.
As if sensing his gaze, Renji and Rukia stopped fooling around and looked over at the same time.
They caught sight of Gilgamesh's striking wine-red eyes.
Perhaps because his initial character template was Young Gil, Gilgamesh's appearance and build were now identical to Young Gil's. He was a beautiful, golden-haired boy with red eyes.
Charisma of the Beautiful Boy was one of Young Gil's personal skills. It embodied the quality of an endearing, beautiful boy and had a Magecraft effect that could charm people regardless of gender.
Of course, the charm could be resisted with Magic Resistance.
Even without Magic Resistance, a strong enough will could lessen its effect.
Rukia's kindness toward Gilgamesh was also due to Charisma of the Beautiful Boy.
Though still young, Rukia had already seen too much evil in the lawless Inuzuri.
She knew all too well how foolish it was to show kindness in a place like this.
Renji's heart had stirred at the sight of Gilgamesh for the same reason: the effect of Charisma of the Beautiful Boy.
And since personal skills were innate passive abilities, Gilgamesh couldn't control whether they were active or not.
Before either of them could speak, Gilgamesh addressed them in a childish voice that already carried authority. "I have only just arrived in this world. Would you be willing to serve as my guides here?"
"Don't worry. I'll reward you handsomely."
It was the first time Renji and Rukia had ever heard anyone refer to himself as "this king." They exchanged puzzled glances.
Then Renji frowned and asked, "This king? Is your name This King?"
Gilgamesh's expression didn't change. "It's a title. My true name is Gilgamesh. I once ruled a human kingdom."
Gilgamesh didn't know whether a Gilgamesh existed in this world, but he hoped there was one—and that Renji and Rukia had heard of him.
That would make recruiting them much easier.
But Gilgamesh was soon disappointed.
Renji and Rukia looked bewildered. Clearly, they'd never heard the name Gilgamesh.
Still, their faces showed astonishment, shock, doubt, and confusion.
It was obvious they didn't fully believe him.
