Background / History

Nanamo is the daughter of Nereus and Charlotte Linlin, born before Perospero as Linlin's true eldest child. She inherited Linlin's exceptionally durable “Steel Balloon” talent, but was raised primarily by Nereus after her parents separated over incompatible values and continued to dispute her custody. Although she visits and cares about her Charlotte half-siblings, she is notably more comfortable living with Nereus. 2 15 16

Linlin gave Nanamo Hermes, a high-caliber cloud Homie formed from a portion of her own soul, as both a gift and protection. Nanamo grew up on Beehive Island, where Nereus ran a tavern; even as a child, she managed its damages ledger and tried to overcharge Kaido for repairs to fund an outing with Katakuri. 1 11

When the Fat Bottle Pirates injured Brulee and Pudding, Nanamo asserted her status as the eldest sister and joined Katakuri in retaliating. She helped annihilate the crew, then immediately searched their base for treasure to split with Hermes. 12 14 15
