  • Nereus forced the Five Elders to recognize Ryugu Kingdom’s rights and ban Fish-Man and Merfolk slavery, then began establishing the kingdom’s presence in Sabaody.

Arc 5Nereus’s Terms

Nereus forced the Five Elders to recognize Ryugu Kingdom’s rights, ban Fish-Man and Merfolk slavery, and grant him access to the next Reverie. He began establishing Ryugu Kingdom’s presence in Sabaody, while Tom delivered Pluto’s blueprints and Rachel reported the arrival of one of Amphitrite’s relatives.

  • Garp refused promotion to Admiral as news of Nereus’s attack on Mary Geoise spread, stirring pirates and former Rocks Pirates to action.
  • Nereus brought the freed slaves to Delta Island, then arranged for former Celestial Dragon slaves who were pirates to join Dragon’s uprising.

Nereus searched Wano Country for Kawamatsu, met Kozuki Oden, and arranged a secret survey of Wano’s Seastone deposits. After Harding kidnapped Una, Nereus closed Fish-Man Island’s waters until Harding was killed, leaving the Underworld wary of harming Ryugu Kingdom citizens.

  • Alber joined Nereus on Fish-Man Island, while Sebastian met Dragon and Zephyr, who refused to join Dragon’s resistance but said he might recommend someone later.
  • Nereus learned Kawamatsu and his mother had disappeared, then traveled to Wano Country, rescued Kawamatsu, and met Inuarashi and Nekomamushi.

Arc 7The Dole Kingdom Campaign

Nereus brought Fish-Man Island to the Reverie, confronted the Dole Kingdom’s enslavement of its people, and led a campaign that freed them. After leaving Tiger to help establish a new government, Nereus returned to family matters and transformed the Poneglyphs into a living weapon.

  • Nereus attended the Reverie, confronted King Chaplin over Harding’s attack on a Ryugu Kingdom soldier, and challenged the Dole Kingdom after Chaplin refused to apologize.
  • Nereus and Zephyr secretly entered the Dole Kingdom, where they saw slaves forced to work beneath the roads, and Zephyr freed prisoners after witnessing their treatment.
  • Nereus’s eight hundred Neptune Army soldiers attacked the Dole Kingdom while Zephyr confronted Chaplin and struck him down, helping end the kingdom’s slave system.

  • Nereus tested the transformed Poneglyph’s ability to reflect attacks, then ordered Tiger to find Noland’s descendants and bring them back if they were willing.
