"Two of my old teammates. Anyway, they'll be here before dinner, so get yourself ready."
With that, Tsunade yawned and flopped onto the sofa.
That wasn't all. Once she was settled, she also ordered Shizune, "Shizune, go get me a glass of water."
Shizune immediately got up to fetch one.
But she wondered to herself: since they were two of Lady Tsunade's teammates, they had to be Lord Jiraiya and Lord Orochimaru.
But why would those two come visiting on New Year's Eve? They didn't seem like the type to do that.
It wasn't Shizune's fault, really. After she completed the Chunin Ninja Exams, Tsunade had taken her away from Konoha, so she'd had no chance to get to know the other Sannin.
Besides, Jiraiya had wandered around the Ninja World until he lost touch with everyone, while Orochimaru stayed shut away in his laboratory.
Even if Shizune had stayed in Konoha, she'd have had little chance of seeing them.
While Shizune was wondering about it, Tokiju was wondering too: why had Jiraiya and Orochimaru come?
It made sense that Jiraiya, a free spirit, would show up for the excitement, but why was Orochimaru coming? Didn't he have experiments to do?
What Tokiju didn't know was that Orochimaru was the one who'd suggested this dinner visit.
Tokiju figured Orochimaru would definitely be interested in him.
But if Orochimaru had wanted to approach him, he would have done it long ago. Tokiju didn't think the few tails outside were capable of detecting Orochimaru.
It was no wonder Tokiju thought that way. After all, anyone who'd watched Naruto knew how cold and ruthless Orochimaru was, and that he'd stop at nothing to achieve immortality.
But who would've thought that Orochimaru could still feel nostalgic? He'd offered to visit just to show Tsunade
