Background / History

Yuji lost his biological parents early and was raised through the Uchiha clan's support and subsidies. Though critical of many Uchiha customs, he regards the clan as comparatively harmonious toward its own members. 19

He convened an unscheduled clan meeting while still young, revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan, and declared that the Uchiha in its current state was inadequate. With support already secured among younger and elite members—including Uchiha Toshihiko—he displaced the old guard and became clan head. 1 18

As leader, Yuji dismantled the Uchiha Police Force, calling it a leash rather than a source of clan glory. The clan subsequently withdrew from the Military Police Force, escalating tensions with Konoha's leadership. 2 5

During the confrontation with Shimura Danzō and Root, Yuji protected Sarutobi Hiruzen, exposed Danzō's stolen Uchiha eye, blinded him, and massacred Root operatives with Susanoo. He then killed Danzō and withdrew despite Hiruzen's warning. 5 6 7
