The Dugu family’s poison problem had persisted for decades. Before a permanent cure was found, Ye Shuyuan used ordinary medicinal herbs to alleviate the toxins within Dugu Bo, treating the symptoms rather than their cause 7 20.

Dugu Bo also relied on his residence at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to suppress the affliction. Despite living among its herbs, he did not recognize them as immortal herbs or understand their medicinal value until Ye Shuyuan identified the site 16 17.

Meeting Ye Qingzhou

Dugu Bo first encounters Ye Qingzhou while investigating a Titled Douluo’s presence in the Sunset Forest. He initially suspects that his enemy Ju Yueguan and others have tracked him down.
