Background

Ye Qingzhou is Ye Shuyuan's grandson and grew up at the Ye Family Clinic in Tiandou City. He is a transmigrant and displays maturity and knowledge beyond his age, helping operate the clinic by selling Whale Rubber before his Martial Soul awakening. When a customer tries to assault him, he refuses to be intimidated until Ye Shuyuan intervenes. 1

His father, Luo Feng, was absent for most of Ye Qingzhou's childhood. Although the two exchanged letters, Ye Qingzhou resents Luo Feng for abandoning him and refuses to forgive him unless Luo Feng fulfills the responsibilities of a father. Luo Feng later spends a year attempting to make amends, easing their relationship into a more normal father-and-son dynamic. 10 12 36 44

At his awakening ceremony, Ye Qingzhou manifests the Magnolia and the Prayer Angel, becoming a rare Twin Martial Soul wielder. A divine light from the God of Life subsequently marks his forehead with a green leaf and grants him exceptional life energy. 2 3

The God of Life selects him as her heir and considers having him inherit both the positions of Life and Destruction, potentially creating a new Creation God position if he can pass the relevant divine trials. 4

Personality

Ye Qingzhou is calm, observant, and unusually self-assured for his age. He evaluates people and situations carefully, whether selecting soul rings, dealing with political figures, or confronting stronger opponents. He is willing to speak bluntly to adults and powerful figures when he considers them unreasonable. 1 10 11 30

He strongly values responsibility and personal boundaries. His hostility toward Luo Feng stems from Luo Feng's absence rather than ignorance of his father's circumstances, and he advises Qian Renxue not to sacrifice herself for affection that will not be given. 10 12

Despite his maturity, Ye Qingzhou has a teasing and playful side around friends such as Dugu Yan. He is also uncomfortable with overt romantic attention and dismissive of proposed arrangements with Ning Rongrong. 39 42 43
