Arc 5Founding Piltover

Oran established a new nation on Firefly Island, defeated its pirate gangs, and began rebuilding it while pursuing research and other plans. After restoring Chinjao’s head and recovering Country Carrier Oz’s corpse, Oran set out for Ohara to copy materials from the Tree of Knowledge Library.

  • Oran recruited Bear, Ginny, and hundreds of workers, confronted Bekeli in the Sorbet Kingdom, and helped restore Bulldog to power before sailing for Firefly Island.
  • Oran’s group defeated Deli and Kurh, drove out the island’s pirate gangs, and announced that Firefly Island would become the kingdom of Piltover.
  • Oran reorganized Piltover’s government and security, restarted industry and agriculture, and prepared the island to seek membership in the World Government on his own terms.
  • Oran restored Chinjao’s Conical Head with help from Lyliana, Frankenstein, and Bear, and Chinjao later destroyed a pirate ship attacking Firefly Island.
  • Oran traveled with Lyliana, Kate, and the Eight Treasure Navy to Ice Country, where he found and stored the frozen corpse of Country Carrier Oz.
  • After fishing and crossing the ice plain with snow wolves, Oran headed to Kimihel to board a ship to Ohara and copy materials from the Tree of Knowledge Library.
  • At Kimihel’s cemetery district, Oran’s group heard grave diggers tell Absalom to stop digging in their contracted cemetery.
Chapters 102–126 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 102Go Be the Boss of Fish-Man District

Oran dealt with human traffickers on Merfolk Island and urged Shak to become the boss of Fish-Man District, with Otohime helping him train in Observation Haki. After Oran left, he arranged for Zephyr’s trainees to face pirates near Sabaody, and the story moved ahead to 1492 as Zack and Lyliana continued to develop.

  • Oran and Lyliana subdued Chris, while the Sea King Army took Nuno away to face Merfolk Island’s laws.
  • Oran told Shak to become the boss of Fish-Man District and gave him instructions for training Haki; Shak accepted, and Otohime agreed to help him.
  • Oran left Merfolk Island, and the rescued mermaid joined the exploration team.
  • Oran asked Marines near Sabaody to deliver a letter to Zephyr proposing pirates as practice opponents for his trainees, and Zephyr accepted.
  • By 1492, Zack had learned to mimic human speech and was working on changing his voice, while five-year-old Lyliana had grown to three meters tall.

Ch. 103The Fruit Was Eaten at Night, but the Person Awakened the Next Day

Oran packed up his laboratory and flew with Lyliana and Terra toward the South Blue, intending to settle in a new home after visiting an old friend. In the Kingdom of Sorbet, Bear learned that the new ruler planned to break the agreement protecting the factory.

  • Lyliana packed books for the move while Oran prepared to leave Bean Island and establish a main base elsewhere.
  • Oran used his awakened Book-Book Fruit to store Feld’s entire laboratory in a book, leaving Feld bewildered when it vanished.
  • Oran and his companions flew away on a giant book, and he encouraged Terra to practice flying at high altitude.
  • Oran told Lyliana they were heading to the Kingdom of Sorbet to find reliable people before going to their new home.
  • Bear used his Fruit to separate impurities from ore and combine materials into a new metal.
  • Ginny hurried to Bear and told him that King Bulldog had abdicated and that Bekeli intended to tear up the factory agreement.

Ch. 104What Did You Feed Your Daughter to Make Her Grow Up Like This?

Oran returned to the Kingdom of Sorbet and found Bear and Ginny caught in a dispute with King Bekeli, who had shut down their factory to force new terms. After reuniting with them and meeting Bear’s elderly patients, Oran asked them to join him as he prepared to establish a stable base.

  • Ginny told Bear that Bekeli wanted to cut their profit share, raise taxes, and reduce workers’ wages, so they had shut down the factory while waiting to hear from Oran.
  • Bear treated elderly residents at the church by drawing their pain into himself, and Ginny scolded them when they tried to give him their wages and food.
  • Oran arrived with Kate, Blitz, Frankenstein, Lyliana, Terra, and Zack, and Ginny welcomed the group while marveling at Oran’s daughters.
  • Oran learned that Bear absorbed the elderly residents’ pain every week, and Bear explained that the suffering would return to them if he did not bear it.
  • Oran told Bear and Ginny that he was ready to make his move and asked them to join him at the stable base he had chosen.

Ch. 105The First Pink-Haired Gathering in History

Oran planned to take Bear, Ginny, and willing factory workers to the Grand Line, while leaving the Sorbet Kingdom’s factory behind. After Bekeli learned that workers intended to leave, he ordered guards to stop them and contacted someone.

  • Oran invited Bear and Ginny to work with him in the Grand Line, and Bear agreed while worrying about the people on the island.
  • Oran offered to double the wages and provide housing to workers who moved with them, while allowing others to stay.
  • Ginny explained that King Bekeli had made excessive demands, and Oran revealed that his Den Den Mushi had fainted during flight and could not receive calls.
  • Oran and his companions shared dinner, and Lyliana suggested they take a group photograph with his old friends.
  • Ginny surveyed the workers, and many agreed to leave while others chose to stay in the Sorbet Kingdom.
  • Bekeli ordered the guards to stop the departing workers and used a Den Den Mushi to contact someone.

Ch. 106The Marines You Summoned for Me

Oran and Ginny continued recruiting Sorbet citizens to relocate, while Bekeli falsely accused them of piracy and surrounded the factory with the Kingdom Army. After Oran struck Bekeli for ordering civilians shot, the arriving Marines saluted Oran instead of supporting the King.

  • Bekeli called Colonel Dado and falsely described the relocation as pirate plundering, prompting Dado to head for the factory with Colonel Dodori.
  • Ginny warned citizens about the hardships ahead, and she and Oran counted a little over three hundred people, including their families, who planned to leave.
  • Bekeli surrounded the factory and accused Oran’s group of abducting citizens, while the workers protested that they were leaving willingly.
  • Bekeli ordered his soldiers to shoot the supposed pirates, and Oran punched him before he could harm the civilians.
  • Bekeli claimed Oran’s attack proved he was a pirate, but the Marines arrived and saluted Oran, calling him Dr. Siderial.

Ch. 107Where's My Throne? How Did My Huge Throne Just Vanish?

Oran challenged Bekeli’s claim to the throne of the Kingdom of Sorbet, using the World Government’s recognition of Bulldog and the citizens’ testimony to expose Bekeli as an illegitimate ruler. Bulldog publicly reclaimed his title, and when Bekeli ordered an attack, Oran revealed that he had made the Kingdom’s powerful Iron Cannon.

  • Bekeli raged at Oran and demanded that Colonel Dado punish him, while Dodori identified himself as a Headquarters colonel and tried to manage the confrontation.
  • Oran declared that the World Government still recognized Bulldog as King and challenged anyone to prove Bekeli held the throne legitimately; Ginny presented the old factory contract, and the citizens rejected Bekeli’s rule.
  • Bear brought Bulldog to the scene, where Bulldog declared that Bekeli’s kingship was not recognized and that the Kingdom of Sorbet could not be ruined under him.
  • Dodori agreed that the Marines could intervene against Bekeli, who ordered his Iron Cannon Squad to kill Oran and Bulldog when his guards refused to act.
  • Bekeli fired a powerful gun at Oran, but Oran caught the bullets and revealed that he had designed the Iron Cannon.

Ch. 108The First Book-Book Conference

Oran helped Bulldog overthrow Bekeli and then set sail with Bear, Ginny, and the migrating craftsmen. Aboard the warship, Oran gathered his companions in his Book World to discuss an island he had chosen as their destination.

  • Oran revealed that he had made the rifles Bekeli’s forces used, and Dodori led the Marines in capturing Bekeli and restoring Bulldog to power.
  • Oran and his companions boarded Dodori’s warship with the craftsmen and their families, beginning a month-long voyage.
  • Ginny asked whether Oran would join the Marines, and Oran said some Marines could be won over while Ginny revealed she had a black Den Den Mushi for eavesdropping.
  • Oran summoned his Book World and brought his companions into a conference room, where he presented a map and proposed an island near Drum Kingdom, Alabasta, Peak, and the route to the Sky Islands as their destination.

Ch. 109The Neighboring Countries' Choice and Mass-Produced Units

Oran explained his plans for settling a lawless island, restoring order there, and preparing for the operation with mass-produced mechas. Meanwhile, Zephyr began training a new batch of Marine recruits and called Kuzan up to fight the training dummies.

  • Ginny asked why Oran had chosen Alabasta and Drum Kingdom, and Oran explained their advantages and the value of nearby West Blue Summit.
  • Oran told the group that West Blue Summit provided a safe route to the Sky Islands and that the island he planned to claim had been without a government for sixteen years.
  • Oran said they would clear pirates and criminals from the island and establish their own order, while Bear prepared to fight.
  • Oran revealed his mass-produced Imperial Mechas, Graves model, as another measure for dealing with the island’s threats.
  • Oran ended the meeting and led the group out of his Book World for lunch.
  • Zephyr welcomed his third batch of Marine students and ordered Kuzan to fight the training dummies.

Ch. 110Mass-Produced Units Naturally Call for a Unit 01

Kuzan began training under Zephyr while Yeklik pressed his father for a Devil Fruit, and Zephyr took Oran’s elaborate model to assemble. Meanwhile, Oran prepared his mecha team for an operation on an island, with Ginny piloting Unit Zero as they approached their destination.

  • Kuzan accepted Zephyr’s challenge to fight a training robot, while Zephyr watched the promising trainee begin his first official class.
  • Yeklik asked Zephyr whether he had found him a suitable Devil Fruit, but Zephyr urged him to build his strength gradually and took custody of Oran’s model kit.
  • Saturn and Nusjuro discussed Siderial, Vegapunk, and Caesar as possible candidates for a World Government project, with Saturn still observing them.
  • Oran tested his P-particle jammer in the Book World laboratory while Ginny practiced piloting Unit Zero, the manned command mecha.
  • Oran told the team they would reach the island the next day and asked whether they were ready to become heroes who would bring the island a new order.

Ch. 111Mecha Is Cool, But What If This Thing Is Meant to Fight You?

Oran and his allies settled on Firefly Island, hoping to rebuild it and earn the locals’ trust by becoming heroes. When pirates attacked their camp, Ginny led three mecha into battle and wiped out the raiders, capturing Steve.

  • Oran explained to Bear, Ginny, and Lyliana that they would earn the title of heroes by rescuing people in a crisis.
  • Oran’s group arrived on Firefly Island, where most of the residents had been abandoned to pirates and gangs, and two hundred immigrants chose to stay with him.
  • Oran assigned Zack, Ginny, Bear, Frankenstein, and Kate to investigate the island and guard the camp.
  • Ginny learned that a pirate alliance controlled much of the island and led Units One and Two with her own mecha to confront a group approaching the camp.
  • Ginny used smoke and gunfire to defeat the pirates, while the other mecha joined the attack and she captured their leader, Steve.

Ch. 112Prison of Books, Bear's Warning

Oran’s group captured and interrogated Svet, who revealed information about the Firefly Island Pirate Alliance before Oran killed him. Meanwhile, Bear and Frankenstein dealt with pirates targeting them at an inn and left with their captives the next morning.

  • Ginny brought the captured Svet to camp, where Oran imprisoned him in a book and read his biography.
  • Svet identified Old Deli as the pirate alliance’s nominal leader and claimed he could guide Oran’s group to their base, but Oran killed him after the interrogation.
  • Oran burned the book and said the group would compare Svet’s claims with information from Bear and the others.
  • At the inn, Bear tried to warn a group of pirates away from Frankenstein’s room, then let them inside and locked the door behind them.
  • Bear and Frankenstein subdued the pirates, and the next morning Frankenstein dragged more than a dozen captives out of the inn.

Ch. 113Oran's Fanatical Fan, Elemental Wyrm Adult Limited Edition

Bear, Frankenstein, and Oran gathered intelligence and prepared to free Firefly Island from its pirate rulers. When Deli attacked, Oran used the old pirate’s time-advancing ability to rapidly mature Terra into a young dragon, setting him up to fight Deli.

  • Bear and Frankenstein dragged the pirates and gangsters who had attacked them out into town, where they encountered Brand resisting the Kurh Gang.
  • Brand explained that he was the island’s last Rebel Army member and described Deli’s time-advancing power and Kurh’s Zoan ability.
  • Brand joined Bear and Frankenstein at camp, where Oran reviewed the island’s intelligence and planned to deal with Deli.
  • Bear destroyed Deli’s approaching pirate ship with a Pressure Cannon, and Deli attacked Oran with his Advance-Advance Fruit power.
  • Oran threw Terra into Deli’s time-advancing attack, causing the Elemental Wyrm to grow into a massive young dragon.

Ch. 114Give Me Back My Trial Card!

Oran and Terra defeated Deli after Terra’s Dragon Breath overcame the effects of Deli’s Advance-Advance Fruit. Deli died of old age inside Oran’s Book World, leaving Oran to hurry to collect his blood and preserve it for research.

  • Oran used chemical reagents to determine how much time Deli’s attacks advanced, then let Terra take an attack to trigger his growth.
  • Terra awakened Dragon Breath and attacked Deli, who realized his power could not weaken the Dragon Species and became excited about finding a Thousand-Year Dragon.
  • Deli ended Terra’s temporary adolescent growth, but Terra still struck him while Oran trapped his consciousness in the Book World.
  • Oran explained to Bear that Deli had relied too heavily on his Devil Fruit and had died of old age inside the illusion.
  • Oran drew Deli’s blood and used the Book-Book Fruit to store it in the warehouse and stop its time.

Ch. 115Mercury Zack: Slime Maid Version

Oran investigated blood from a dead Devil Fruit user while Bear and Zack helped secure Firefly Island. Ginny’s mecha squad ambushed Deli’s and the Kurh Gang’s forces, but Bear landed on a strange black-and-red sphere as the battle began.

  • Oran collected and preserved blood samples from the dead Ability User, then had Zack kill the surviving Deli pirates who came ashore.
  • Bear left to join Ginny’s group, while Oran questioned Zack about her newly acquired feminine form and learned she had visited a brothel while gathering intelligence.
  • Ginny identified the arriving Kurh Gang among Deli’s land force and led her mecha squad to attack them with landmines and gunfire.
  • A black-and-red sphere rolled toward Ginny’s mecha, and Bear dropped from the sky onto it, wondering whether he had done something wrong.

Ch. 116The Paw-Paw Fruit Wasn't Feared for Nothing

Bear, Ginny, and Frankenstein defeated Kurh, while Brand learned that Oran had already killed Deli. Brand then led Oran’s group and the craftsmen toward town, eager to tell its residents they had been rescued, and continued asking to pilot the mecha.

  • Ginny spotted Kurh underground and directed Bear, who struck him as he burst from the ground.
  • Bear expelled Kurh’s poison from his body and shoved it back into Kurh, while Frankenstein and Ginny finished him off.
  • Brand learned that Oran had already dealt with Deli and that the island’s two greatest threats were gone.
  • Oran’s group moved its base toward town with the craftsmen, following Brand, who planned to tell the residents their saviors had arrived.
  • Brand repeatedly asked to pilot the mecha, but Kate warned him not to tell Oran how his study of Oran’s articles had turned out.

Ch. 117Welcome to Piltover

Oran entered Firefly Island’s town after Brand and the Imperial Mecha defeated Deli, Kurh, and the remaining pirates, then began organizing the island’s recovery. He used News Coos to spread his notices across the island and announced plans for a new nation called Piltover, leaving its new order about to begin.

  • Brand marched into town with Oran’s group, announced Deli and Kurh’s defeat, and the Imperial Mecha killed pirates who tried to flee.
  • The townspeople emerged and asked Oran to drive out the pirates, while Oran explained to Lyliana that he intended to destroy the roots of the world’s rotten order.
  • Oran promised the townspeople he would rebuild without oppressing them and asked for help from people with printing or reporting experience.
  • Oran organized printing presses to make notices and arranged for a News Coo to recruit its colleagues to distribute them across Firefly Island.
  • Oran told Kate that Piltover would become a city of science and progress and an inclusive new nation without racial discrimination.

Ch. 118"Orbital Drop," "Russian Rescue"

Oran declared Piltover a new kingdom and moved to eliminate the pirates and gangs on Firefly Island. After Bear’s forces defeated the royal city’s pirates and Oran’s team rescued the gang’s hostages, Zack reported that usable experimental equipment lay beneath the royal city.

  • Oran announced that Piltover would become a kingdom under his rule, and he and his allies began clearing the island’s pirates.
  • Zack infiltrated the royal city and found the pirates fighting among themselves over who would lead them.
  • Bear used Zack’s beacon to drop mechas into the royal city and defeated the pirates who remained there.
  • Oran ordered a retreat from the gang’s warehouse standoff, then used anesthetic gas to incapacitate the gang and hostages so rescue workers could extract them safely.
  • Ginny confirmed the warehouse had been cleared, while Zack reported that the royal city held a large quantity of intact experimental equipment.

Ch. 119New Nation, Chinjao of the Cone

Oran established control over Firefly Island and began rebuilding its security while news of his plans spread among the World Government, Marines, and former MADS members. In the West Blue, Chinjao learned that Oran might be able to restore his flattened conical head.

  • Oran inspected the old research equipment and asked Brand to lead a security force, but Brand preferred to become Oran's laboratory assistant.
  • Oran tactfully rejected Brand's research ambitions, and Brand returned to his old profession, recruiting islanders and organizing Imperial Mecha patrols to eliminate the remaining pirates.
  • Morgans published an exaggerated report about Oran founding a nation, while the Five Elders dismissed the news and Marines and former MADS members considered Oran's actions.
  • Chinjao repeatedly tried to break the ice covering his treasure with his flattened head and lamented Garp's punch.
  • A member of the Eight Treasure Navy told Chinjao that the genius doctor Xidilier Oran might be able to cure his head.

Ch. 120Member Nation? Celestial Gold? I Refuse.

Chinjao set out for Firefly Island in hopes that Oran could repair his flattened conical head, while Oran planned to secure World Government membership without paying Celestial Gold. As Firefly Island began rebuilding under Oran’s rule, Lyliana and Terra caught another pirate during their nighttime patrol.

  • Chinjao read about Oran’s medical work and ordered his crew to sail to Firefly Island for treatment.
  • The kings of Drum Kingdom and Alabasta considered Oran’s rise and waited to see what kind of country Firefly Island would become.
  • Oran told Ginny, Bear, and Kate that he intended to gain member-nation status but would make the World Government pay him rather than offer Celestial Gold.
  • Imperial Mechas and local security teams enforced a curfew and searched Firefly Island for the remaining pirates.
  • Lyliana and Terra found a pirate hiding in wet sand, and Brand explained to nearby residents that Lyliana was Oran’s daughter.

Ch. 121The Safest District 13

Oran rebuilt Firefly Island’s defenses and industry while researching a medicine that rapidly aged its users. Chinjao arrived seeking treatment to restore his conical head, and Oran agreed to help before learning that Chinjao wanted to pay afterward.

  • Lyliana hunted down the remaining pirates, earning the islanders’ trust and giving them hope in the new royal family.
  • Oran reorganized Firefly Island’s government and security, restarted industry and agriculture, and planned new energy and coastal defenses.
  • Oran completed a blue pill that could rapidly age creatures and began storing his research materials in District 13.
  • Lyliana told Oran that the Eight Treasure Navy had arrived seeking treatment, and Chinjao asked him to restore his conical head.
  • Oran agreed to summon Bear and Franky to help treat Chinjao, who then asked to pay the fee after his treatment.

Ch. 122No Unprovoked Beating of Patients

Oran treated Chinjao’s damaged head with a series of carefully aimed blows from Lyliana, Frankenstein, and Bear. Chinjao’s Conical Head was restored, and he praised Oran’s medical skill.

  • Oran left Chinjao with his rigid robotic assistant while he checked on Frankenstein, who had entered sleep mode beside a windmill.
  • Chinjao agreed to use his ship as collateral for treatment before Oran let him pay afterward and confirmed he wanted his Conical Head restored.
  • Oran brought Chinjao to a reinforced treatment room and had Lyliana punch his head, leaving a swollen bump instead of curing it.
  • Frankenstein struck Chinjao with her warhammer and bent his head into a crooked cone.
  • Bear hit Chinjao at Oran’s marked angle, sending him through a wall and into the garden while restoring his Conical Head.
  • Chinjao apologized for his subordinates’ anger, admired his restored reflection, and praised Oran’s medical expertise.

Ch. 123An Unconventional Outcast Assassin, an Occasionally Part-Time Agent

Chinjao tested his restored strength by destroying pirates attacking Firefly Island, while Oran examined the island’s rivers and sought hydroelectric expertise in another dream world. He returned with a complete theoretical power-station design and planned to travel to West Blue with Chinjao.

  • Chinjao bowed too forcefully, cracked the ground, and sent the Eight Treasure Navy members to repair it.
  • When pirates attacked Firefly Island, Chinjao rushed to the coast and destroyed their ship with Dragon Twisting Nail.
  • Oran inspected the rivers and recorded conditions that would affect a hydroelectric power station.
  • In a parallel world, Oran met Akali, who told him Ahri had invited her to join K/DA, and he advised her to accept.
  • Oran asked Akali to connect him with her father’s water-conservancy contacts and returned from the dream with a complete theoretical design blueprint.

Ch. 124Take Whatever Treasure You Want, Glacier Continent

Oran and his companions traveled with Chinjao to Glacier Continent, where Chinjao opened his treasure vault and paid Oran for his medical work. After parting ways, Oran followed an ancient map to the ruins of Ice Country, where he uncovered the frozen figure of Country Carrier Oz.

  • Ginny told Brand that Oran had left to handle his own business and that the Crown Princess could act as regent in his absence.
  • Oran, Lyliana, Kate, and the Eight Treasure Navy crossed the Calm Belt and reached Glacier Continent without encountering Sea Kings.
  • Chinjao broke open the ice covering his treasure and urged Oran to take as much as he wanted, but Oran took only his agreed share.
  • Chinjao gave Oran his Den Den Mushi number and an Eight Treasure Navy token before returning to the Flower Country to handle trouble in the Second Treasure Navy.
  • Oran used an ancient map to locate Ice Country and blew away the snow covering its ruins.
  • Oran identified the enormous frozen figure they found as Country Carrier Oz, a notorious criminal from 470 years ago.

Ch. 125Ice Country, Demon Oz

Oran explained that Country Carrier Oz, an Ancient Giant who had tried to take the Ice Country, froze to death there centuries ago. Oran removed Oz’s body from the glacier for research and stored it in his book, then stayed with Lyliana and Kate to fish while he planned their next destination.

  • Kate asked about Country Carrier Oz, and Oran explained that Oz had carried islands and countries to build his Empire of Evil.
  • Oran told Kate and Lyliana that Oz had frozen to death in the Ice Country after trying to move it without guarding against the cold.
  • Oran used directional explosives to free Oz’s undamaged corpse from the glacier and stored it inside his book.
  • The opened glacier filled with seawater, and Lyliana asked Oran to let them fish before leaving.
  • Lyliana took out her camping book and fishing gear, then invited Kate to join her.

Ch. 126The Wolf That Lost Its Dignity, Grave Country, and Ohara

Oran, Lyliana, and Kate crossed a snowy plain, then traveled to Kimihel to catch a ship to Ohara, where Oran planned to copy books. They reached the cemetery district and found Absalom arguing with grave diggers.

  • Lyliana caught a giant swordfish while Kate electrofished an eagle-headed Sea King, and the group grilled their catch.
  • A pack of snow wolves attacked Oran and his companions, but Lyliana defeated them and they pulled the group’s sled across the snowfield.
  • Chinjao returned to the Flower Country with his head restored, disrupting the Second Treasure Navy leader’s plan to gain influence through a marriage alliance.
  • Oran released the wolves after they crossed the ice plain and set out for Kimihel, where he planned to board a passenger ship to Ohara.
  • Oran explained that he wanted to copy materials from Ohara’s Tree of Knowledge Library, and he and his companions crossed Kimihel’s cemetery district toward the docks.
  • The group heard grave diggers telling Absalom to leave because he had no right to dig graves in their contracted cemetery.
