Sea Witch
One of the reasons for this sea Soul Hunting was for his daughter, but two days have passed and they haven't even encountered a suitable Soul Beast.
Although Sea Soul Beast are generally a level stronger than land Soul Beast, matching Qian Renxue's Eight-Winged Angel Martial Soul in terms of attributes is indeed not an easy task.
There is a natural barrier between the Sacred Attribute and the ocean attribute.
Qian Xunji lay down on the bed, put her hands behind her head, looked at the ceiling, and hummed in agreement.
"Don't rush. When we go to the deeper sea, there will be so many Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast that you won't be able to choose from them all."
"Oh, right, Xunji, are you really going to see Bo Saixi?"
Qian Xunji nodded. "Of course we need to let her know before we do anything on her turf."
"This will help avoid unnecessary misunderstandings."
Bibi Dong turned her head to look at him. "Will she see us?"
"How could it be missing?"
"Putting aside my father's past relationship, just the fact that our mission is to kill the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King is something she can't refuse to see even if she wanted to."
"The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King is the nightmare of generations of people on Sea God Island, and a taboo for all sea dwellers."
"If someone comes to them offering to get rid of this behemoth, even if Bo Saixi dislikes dealing with land-based forces, he can't possibly avoid them."
Bibi Dong thought about it and realized that it made sense.
The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King has been entrenched in the Forbidden Sea for countless millennia. If she and Qian Xunji can truly eliminate it, it would be a tremendous boon to Sea God Island.
Based on this alone, Bo Saixi would not only meet with them, but might even offer them assistance.
She rolled over in bed, facing Qian Xunji, a hint of coquettishness that only appeared when the two of them were alone. "Xunji, I want to watch the projector."
"No problem." Qian Xunji sat up in bed. "Should we ask Xiao Xue to come along?"
"She's cultivating; we can just watch."
Bibi Dong moved closer to him, adjusting to a more comfortable position.
Qian Xunji raised his hand and touched the middle finger of his left hand. The Angel Ring flashed with a golden light, and he took out the DVD and disc.
What do you want to see?
"Anything is fine."
"Then let's watch Titanic."
The ship arrived at the Sea Maiden City) on the afternoon of the third day.
This city is completely different from Vast Sea City.
Vast Sea City is an extension of the land into the sea, while Sea Maiden City is entirely part of the sea.
The city walls were built with white ore mined from the seabed. The houses in the city were built along the reef, at varying heights, with dried seaweed on the roofs and wind chimes made of seashells hanging in the windows.
The harbor was filled with dozens of ships of all sizes, their masts forming a forest. There were merchant ships, local fishing boats, and several ships with the Sacred Pillar emblem of Sea God Island embroidered on their sails.
The porters who carried goods on the docks had dark skin, naturally dark blue hair, and were noticeably more robust than the mainland residents. They carried cargo boxes taller than themselves, bare-armed, and moved swiftly across the gangplanks.
The captain carefully anchored the ship into the deep-water dock, and the sailors threw ropes to attach to the coral pillars on the shore.
Old Ma walked to the side of the ship and pointed to a towering white stone tower in the center of the city.
"Your Majesty, below lies the Sea Maiden City."
"The city lord is the Sea Witch, one of the Seven Sacred Pillars of Sea God Island, Sea Soul Master at the Titled Douluo level."
Qian Xunji, leaning on the ship's railing, asked, "Is she in the city?"
"As far as I know, they shouldn't be here."
"The Seven Sacred Pillars do not usually live in the city, but cultivate on their respective islands."
"The Sea Witch's Sacred Pillar is located on a secluded island thirty miles south of the Sea Maiden City. That area is designated as a forbidden zone on Sea God Island, and outsiders are not allowed to approach it casually."
Qian Xunji looked back at the already packed luggage, then patted Old Ma's sturdy shoulder. "You can go back after you unload the goods. You don't need to come south with us anymore."
"Don't we need to wait here?" Old Ma asked, half surprised and half nervous.
He'd been patrolling this sea area for thirty years, and it was common for him to return in a few days to pick up people. But these two were leaving before they could wait; how did they plan to get back?
"We have our own way back."
Old Ma then realized that this family couldn't be judged by the standards of "ordinary Soul Master," so he stopped asking questions.
He stepped back and solemnly gave a captain's salute. "Then this is where Old Ma will leave you—Your Excellencies and Miss, have a safe journey."
"Good."
After saying goodbye to the captain, the family of three walked down the gangway and onto the dock. Qian Xunji's gaze swept over the vendors and porters around them.
The residents of the Sea Maiden City share very similar characteristics.
Their skin was tanned bronze by the sea breeze and scorching sun, their hair was a mix of light and dark blue, and even the children playing with seashells by the pier were all burly and robust, a whole size bigger than their inland counterparts.
Qian Renxue tugged at Qian Xunji's sleeve. "Dad, where are we going now?"
Want to play here?
Qian Renxue shook her head. "No, I want to kill the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King as soon as possible, and then find a suitable Soul Ring to take back."
Three days ago, she would be lying on the gunwale counting fish, but now she no longer feels any amazement when she sees the sea.
"Good."
"Then let's get straight to business, Dong'er."
Bibi Dong tucked the stray hairs that had fallen onto her face behind her ear and nodded slightly to him.
Qian Xunji bent down and picked up Qian Renxue, his six wings unfurling behind him as he soared into the air.
Bibi Dong followed closely behind. The porters carrying goods on the dock all looked up at the same time, almost dropping the cargo boxes they were holding.
Who are they, and where are they going?
"I don't know, but they seem to be heading in the direction of the Seven Sacred Pillars."
"Ha, daring to venture there, they're really courting death."
The family of three flew off in the direction the captain pointed.
After flying for about thirty miles, a solitary island came into view.
The island is small, only a few dozen miles in circumference, covered with lush tropical vegetation, and in the center stands a white Sacred Pillar that is several tens of feet tall.
Qian Xunji landed on the beach several hundred meters ahead, retracted his six wings, and placed Qian Renxue, whom he was holding, on the ground.
Meanwhile, beneath the Sacred Pillar, a woman was reclining on a stone platform, taking a nap.
Her upper body was human, but her lower body was a long fish tail.
The fish's tail extended from its waist, covered with light blue scales, and its caudal fin was like a semi-transparent veil.
She lay on her side, one hand supporting her forehead.
Her features were delicate and aloof, and her long, deep blue hair spread out on the stone platform like seaweed, adorned with a few tiny pearls.
Her ears were not human ears, but a pair of transparent, thin ears shaped like fish fins, which throbbed with her even breathing.
The Sacred Pillar is surrounded by a barrier that senses fluctuations in Soul Power.
The moment Qian Xunji folded her wings and landed, the Sea Witch opened her eyes.
"Who?"
She flashed and appeared at the edge of the beach in the next second, her gaze coldly fixed on the three figures descending from the sky.
She raised her right hand slightly, and a ball of light blue Soul Power condensed in her palm, ready to strike at any moment.
"Who are you—daring to trespass into the forbidden area of Sacred Pillar of Sea God Island?"
Qian Xunji stepped forward first, "I am Qian Xunji from the Spirit Hall. I have come with my wife and daughter to request an audience with Grand Pontiff Bo Saixi."
The Sea Witch's gaze swept over the three of them one by one.
She didn't respond verbally, but her innate abilities had already been activated in silence.
This is a unique talent of the Sea Witch Clan — Mind Reading. It doesn't require Soul Skill; as long as she wants to hear, she can read the most authentic voice in the other person's heart.
There was silence for a few seconds...
