Cultivation Position
| Rank / Concept | Relationship to the Immortal Emperor Realm | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Immortal King | Preceding high realm | An Immortal King who perfects a Great Dao may approach Immortal Emperorhood. The Chosen Immortal King reached the peak of this realm and was only half a step from becoming an Immortal Emperor. 726 |
| Half-step Immortal Emperor | Threshold below the realm | Possesses power beyond ordinary Immortal Kings, but remains markedly inferior to a true Immortal Emperor. 847 857 |
| Immortal Emperor | Pinnacle of the immortal path | Achieved by cultivating a Great Dao to its limit, bearing the Mandate of Heaven, and condensing a Dao Fruit. 821 |
| Beyond Immortal Emperor | A higher, largely unknown realm | The Heavenly Emperor is said to have touched this realm through the Chaos Great Dao. 821 |
Nature of the Realm
The Three Thousand Supreme Immortal Arts each correspond to one of the Three Thousand Great Daos. In principle, a cultivator who brings one such Dao to its utmost limit can bear the Mandate of Heaven and attain Immortal Emperorhood. Each Great Dao can correspond to one Immortal Emperor, theoretically allowing for three thousand Immortal Emperors. 821
The Chaos Great Dao ranks first among the Three Thousand Great Daos. Immortal Emperors who attain the Dao through Chaos are described as capable of fighting several Immortal Emperors who attained the realm through other Great Daos. 748
The Immortal Realm's ability to produce Immortal Emperors was severely diminished after the War of Fallen Emperors, when a conflict involving dozens of Immortal Emperors shattered the realm and damaged its Great Dao origin. 860
Power and Authority
Great Dao Mastery
An Immortal Emperor's attacks can distort or tear apart the laws of the Great Dao, shatter space into Chaos, and devastate heaven and earth. 847
- A single Immortal Emperor is regarded as capable of suppressing all heavens. 860
- Immortal Emperor Dao essence grants profound cultivation insights even when left behind in murals or relics. 840
- Immortal Emperor essence blood can serve as the key to sealed inheritances, but may drain and kill an Immortal King who attempts to retrieve it. 841
Imperial Arts and Treasures
Immortal Emperor treasure arts possess fixed, overwhelming power that exceeds ordinary supreme immortal arts, though supreme arts have a higher long-term growth potential with cultivation. 858
- Ancient Time Divine Light — An Immortal Emperor treasure art inherited from the Ancient Female Emperor; it contains the power of time and can bind or erode targets. 858 946
- Immortal Emperor Dao weapons — Weapons wielded by beings at this level, such as the Heavenly Will Divine Saber, can cleave heaven and earth apart and protect a half-step Immortal Emperor in battle. 847 849
- Immortal Emperor artifacts — Even a half-step Immortal Emperor artifact can severely injure an Immortal King with a single strike. 844
Known Immortal Emperors
- Heavenly Emperor — Ancient ruler of the Heavenly Court who attained Immortal Emperorhood through the Chaos Great Dao. He was invincible beneath the heavens, could suppress other Immortal Emperors, and is said to have touched a realm beyond Immortal Emperor. His current whereabouts are unknown, though the Heavenly Secrets Divine Hall believes he remains alive. 821 857 888
- Ancient Female Emperor — A female Immortal Emperor who attained the Dao through the Dao of Time. She once commanded three thousand Immortal Kings, ended a dark turmoil, and later sealed herself within the Ancient Emperor Mausoleum. Her battle spirit retained enough strength to defeat Ji Hong, a half-step Immortal Emperor wielding an Immortal Emperor Dao weapon. 840 844 847 860
- Buried Heaven Immortal Emperor — The true identity of Lady Three-Flower; she was the Empress of the Heavenly Court and the Heavenly Emperor's Dao companion. 957
- Hongtian Immortal Emperor — Ji Hong, founding ancestor of the Great Evolution Immortal Court. He was once a true Immortal Emperor and one of the Heavenly Emperor's thirty-three Immortal Emperors, but later cut down his own cultivation to half-step Immortal Emperor. 849 857
- Heavenly Secrets Immortal Emperor — Founder of the Heavenly Secrets Divine Hall and the Heavenly Emperor's trusted friend. He died during the ancient calamity to secure the Heavenly Emperor a chance of survival. 888
- Virtuous Immortal Emperor — Creator of the supreme divine ability One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, which produces three clones with combat power equal to the true body. 915
Near-Immortal Emperor Figures
- Chosen Immortal King / Ninefold Dao Immortal King — Perfected nine Great Dao laws and fused them through Chaos into a nine-colored Chaotic Dao Fruit, reaching the threshold of Immortal Emperorhood. He was erased by an ancient hidden existence before completing the breakthrough. 726
- Ji Hong — Though historically an Immortal Emperor, he is presently a half-step Immortal Emperor after deliberately cutting down his own realm to evade the Heavenly Emperor and an unseen existence. 849 857
- Ye Wudao — A half-step Immortal Emperor who entered the Ancient Emperor Mausoleum with the Immortal Emperor Dao weapon, the Heavenly Will Divine Saber. He was forced back by the Ancient Female Emperor's battle spirit. 847
Historical Significance
The ancient Heavenly Court was the supreme ruling force of the Immortal Realm. At its height, the Heavenly Emperor governed through twelve divine halls and commanded thirty-three Immortal Emperors, including Ji Hong. 857 888
The collapse of the Ancient Heavenly Court coincided with the Heavenly Emperor's disappearance and a flaw appearing in the Chaos Great Dao. The erasure of the Chosen Immortal King—another cultivator of Chaos—suggests that an ancient hidden existence may target those attempting to attain Immortal Emperorhood through Chaos. 748 726
The Ancient Female Emperor and the Heavenly Emperor were both exceptional later-era figures who attained Immortal Emperorhood despite the damaged Great Dao origin left by the War of Fallen Emperors. Neither succeeded in restoring the fractured Thirty-Three Heavens to their former unity. 860
