• Gu Yuan exchanged his Ice Snake martial soul for the Ice Dragon King’s remnant soul, gained a level-ten Soul Power, and received the Ice Dragon King as his companion and mother.
• Gu Yuan cultivated the Mysterious Ice Art and Purple Demon Eye, refined God King Tang’s wine, and raised his Soul Power to level eighteen before setting out for the Far North.

Gu Yuan grew stronger, joined Shrek Academy, and faced Tang San while Huo Yuhao began his path under Yu Gang’s guidance. The arc left Gu Yuan entangled with Shrek’s descended gods and the Holy Spirit Cult as he drew closer to Wang Dong’er.

• Tang San and Beibei left the Clear Sky Sect, while Huo Yuhao renounced the Dai surname after Huo Yun'er died and joined Tang Ya and Beibei on their journey.
• Gu Yuan defeated a masked Soul Emperor, gained the Ice Dragon King’s power and a new sacrifice, then brought Electrolux into his Spirit Sea.
• Sky Dream Ice Silkworm sacrificed himself to Huo Yuhao, and Huo Yuhao accepted Yu Gang as his master after gaining an icy second Martial Soul.
• Gu Yuan reached Shrek Academy, where Ning Rongrong identified him as a Child of Destiny and guided him through the Elite Class assessment.

Gu Yuan became the Elite Class monitor, strengthened his abilities, and led his classmates through a combat test that earned him soul bones and a mission to the Star Dou Forest. Before the group could begin its hunt, Di Tian seized Gu Yuan and vanished with him.

• Cai Mei'er revealed the theft of the Titan Snow Ape Soul Bone, and Mu En gave Beibei a Light Demon-Breaking Soul Bone for Tang Ya, who nearly died absorbing it until Gu Yuan saved him.
• Tang San's tea-induced encounter with Beibei was discovered by Xiao Wu, and Gu Yuan later led the Elite Class in confronting Zhou Yi, whose assault on them resulted in her expulsion and his appointment as monitor.
• Gu Yuan took Wang Dong'er, Ning Rongrong, and their companions shopping in Shrek City, bought rare treasures and soul bones, and advised Xiao Xiao to wait for stronger bones before developing her second Martial Soul.
• Gu Yuan absorbed an External Soul Bone with spatial abilities, accidentally transported himself into Wu Feng's bath, and later gave Wu Feng a Fire Pear Fruit that helped her break through to Rank 30.
• Ning Rongrong defeated Huo Yuhao after he defended Yu Gang, while Zhang Lexuan set Gu Yuan a combat test in which he had to rescue her from a cave as the Elite Class tried to stop him.
• Gu Yuan used his ice abilities to defeat the students and rescue Zhang Lexuan, then gave the seventy-thousand-year Explosive Burning Flame Soul Bone to Wu Feng instead of keeping it for himself.
• Zhang Lexuan chose Gu Yuan to lead a seven-person team to the Star Dou Forest to hunt a soul ring for Zhu Zhuqing, and the group departed after Wu Feng confirmed her breakthrough.
• The Silver Dragon ordered Di Tian to retrieve the person carrying the Ice Dragon King's aura, and Di Tian seized Gu Yuan and vanished with him as Wu Feng tried to follow.

Gu Yuan gained the Ice Dragon King’s support, Xiong Jun’s sacrifice, and the affection of several women while Shrek Academy tried to keep him close. The arc left the academy facing confusing body exchanges and a looming Holy Spirit Cult attack on Shrek.

• Tang San accused Gu Yuan of being a transformed soul beast, but Zhang Lexuan ended the dispute and sought Xuanzi’s help.
• The Ice Dragon King introduced Gu Yuan as her son, and Xiong Jun sacrificed himself to him, raising Gu Yuan to level fifty-four and granting him two soul skills.
• Gu Yuan returned to Shrek with Di Tian, gave Zhu Zhuqing, Wu Feng, Ning Rongrong, and Zhang Lexuan valuable Soul Bones, and began relationships with Zhang Lexuan and Wu Feng.
