Background / History

Tang San awakened his martial soul at the same age as Qin Heng, before traveling to Notting City or obtaining his first soul ring. Qin Heng deliberately left him under Yu Xiaogang's guidance, believing that Xiaogang's methods would hinder rather than accelerate Tang San's development 8.

As Yu Xiaogang's disciple, Tang San gained his first soul skill after his Blue Silver Grass absorbed a Datura Snake over 400 years old. Blue Silver Entanglement could poison even a Soul Grandmaster once its vines bound the target 33. Tang San remained fiercely loyal to Xiaogang when Martial Soul Hall exposed and discredited him, resolving to seek justice from Martial Soul Hall once he became strong enough 35.

Tang San received Qin Heng's Meridian Cultivation Method Basic General Edition from Yu Xiaogang. He recognized it as comparable to his own Mysterious Heaven Skill, though it lacked the latter's cultivation of the Eight Extraordinary Meridians. After leaving Shrek Academy for approximately a year, Tang San entered Slaughter City on Tang Xiao's instructions to seek Divine Slaughter's Domain. There, he encountered his great-grandfather Tang Chen, who helped him leave Slaughter City. His martial soul underwent another qualitative evolution into the Dark Blue Silver Emperor, and his cultivation rose to Soul King 172.

Tang San returned to Shrek Academy colder and more sinister than before, carrying dense killing intent while maintaining his respect for Yu Xiaogang 172. During the Continental Soul Master Elite Tournament, he fought Spirit Hall Academy using his Dark Blue Silver Emperor, hidden weapons, Clear Sky Hammer, and Divine Slaughter's Domain. Tang Chen intervened to protect Tang San but was killed by Qin Heng. Qin Heng then cleaved Tang San in half; the Asura Demon Sword rescued his remains and carried them to the hidden Asura God Temple 180. The Asura God stabilized Tang San's soul, then had the Food God and Nine-Colored Goddess revive him through their joint Revival Divine Skill 181.

Driven by hatred, Tang San accepted the Asura God's Nine Trials, vowing to kill Qin Heng and destroy Spirit Hall. He eventually inherited the Asura God Position and immediately turned his divine power toward revenge 181 185. During the resulting battle at Spirit City, he burned the origin of his divine position to wield an immense Great Sumeru Hammer against Qian Renxue and Qian Daoliu, but sustained irreversible damage to his divine foundation 186 187. Future Legacy

Ten thousand years later, Tang San is known as the Sea God and the founder of the Tang Sect. He left books at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well containing alchemy, medicinal, body-tempering, and Tang Sect poison knowledge 47 99.

A fragment of his consciousness guarded the well and attempted to destroy Qin Heng's clone for trespassing. After the clone escaped, the consciousness established a divine formation that prevented even Limit Douluo without Sea God divine power from entering the valley, then dissipated 48.

Tang San also left a strand of Sea God divine power within Shrek Academy's Golden Ancient Tree. This power initially protected the tree from Qian Daoliu's attack before being exhausted 157.

Divine Status and Fall

In the future era, Tang San remained a Sea God in the God Realm and reacted violently when Qian Daoliu threatened his mother Ah Yin, hurling the Sea God Trident toward the lower realm in an attempt to kill him 158. Destruction God King subsequently stripped Tang San of the Sea God Position and ordered his confinement within the Divine Forbidden Land because of the actions of Tang San and his family 160.

Tang San later revived, completed the Asura God's inheritance, and became the new holder of the Asura God Position 181 185. This second divine ascension ended when Destruction Divine Thunder eradicated his body, soul, and Asura divine foundation 187.

The losses of Xiao Wu and Tang Hao transformed his hostility toward Qin Heng into a consuming desire for vengeance. Though grief initially left him nearly unresponsive after Tang Hao's execution, Yu Xiaogang's reminder of his Twin Martial Souls restored his resolve 132 133.

His experiences in Slaughter City made him markedly colder, more lethal, and more withdrawn, though he continued to show deference to Yu Xiaogang and concern for the Clear Sky Sect's survival 172 180.
