Background / History

Tang Hao was a Clear Sky Sect genius known as the Clear Sky Douluo. He was regarded as the sect's greatest talent in a century and became the youngest Titled Douluo on the continent. He was also among the era's Three Great Divine Smiths. At some point, he was expelled from the Clear Sky Sect; afterward, the sect sealed its gates and withdrew from the world. 79 131 133

After going into seclusion, Tang Hao remained near Notting City and secretly watched over his son, Tang San. He had previously discovered Xiao Wu and kept track of her association with Tang San. 8 76

Qin Heng deliberately lured Tang Hao out by promoting the Basic General Meridian Cultivation Method in Notting City, praising Martial Soul Hall while publicly denouncing the Clear Sky Sect. Tang Hao revealed himself after Qin Heng directly mocked him, arriving with the Clear Sky Hammer and his full soul-ring configuration. 76

Tang Hao fought Qin Heng despite the latter being only Rank 64 at the time. He used the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Technique, the Great Sumeru Hammer, and Ring Detonation, eventually detonating all nine soul rings. The battle devastated parts of Notting City, but Qin Heng's Asura Armor absorbed Tang Hao's Slaughter God's Domain and the Asura divine power within it. Tang Hao lost his left arm and escaped with Tang San after Xiao Wu was captured. 77 78

The backlash from Ring Detonation reduced Tang Hao to Rank 85 before residual Asura divine power restored him to Rank 90. Unable to fight at his former strength, he took Tang San to Gengjin City, intending to teach him every forging technique he knew. 79

More than a year later, Qin Heng confronted Tang Hao again at Shrek Academy. Tang Hao accepted a wager that his Nine-Ring Detonation could force Qin Heng back one step. He was also fiercely protective of Tang San. Even while severely injured and fleeing Martial Soul Hall, Tang Hao prioritized taking his son to safety and chose to pass down his lifetime of forging knowledge to him. 79
