Background

Founding of Phantom Star Academy

Chen An established Phantom Star Academy in a suburb of the Heaven Dou Empire after his rebirth 2. Despite reaching Level 89 as a Spirit Douluo, he initially struggled to attract students. He relied upon a library within his sea of consciousness, which contained martial arts, cultivation methods, and a mechanism that responded to fated disciples 1 2.

His initial purpose in founding the academy was to recruit students whose entry would unlock more of the library's potential 2. Over time, this modest academy developed into an influential independent institution, with training halls, a Herb Garden, a Beast Realm, a Time Spirit Room, a Forging Tower, and eventually a Soul Tower 13 118 153 159.

First Disciples and Early Growth

Chen An first met Zhu Zhuqing in the wilderness while she was fleeing the pressures of her Star Luo noble family. By revealing his eight crimson spirit rings and Level 89 cultivation, he convinced her that she could take control of her destiny through strength 1. The academy later absorbed Blazing Academy, Godwind Academy, and Skywater Academy. During Chen An's northern expedition, he subdued the Snow Empress, Ice Empress, and Titan Snow Demon King, bringing them into the Beast Realm. While Chen An was absent, the Rakshasa God descended upon Phantom Star. Chen An returned in time to confront the Rakshasa God's avatar, fought beside Di Tian, and escaped through a spatial rift after severely injuring the divine enemy 130.

Later, Chen An confronted the newborn Evil God in Slaughter City. To prevent catastrophic damage to Douluo Continent, he moved the battle into the void, awakened a Dharma-body form, and used the Eternal Ultimate Immortal Formation to kill the Evil God 164 165. Later Administration

After Chen An's prolonged absence, Zhu Zhuqing ran Phantom Star as acting headmaster, while Ning Rongrong managed external information and political developments 166. By this period, the Heaven Dou Imperial Family was near collapse, Suotuo City had come under Ning Fengzhi's effective control, Spirit Hall had changed leadership, and the former organization was eventually reformed as Soul Hall 166 178.
