Background

Ning Rongrong came to Phantom Star Academy seeking to become Chen An's disciple. Though formerly spoiled and overbearing, she approached him respectfully after witnessing his strength. Chen An accepted her only after she promised not to be willful or bully fellow disciples. 16

Her insistence on entering Chen An's Dream Realm subjected her to an illusionary lifetime in which her arrogance alienated those around her, Martial Soul Hall destroyed the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and she became destitute and unable to face her master or senior sister. Zhu Zhuqing entered the Dream Realm to guide her out. 17

The experience left Rongrong worried about the sect and its future. She wrote to her father, Ning Fengzhi, reporting that she had become Chen An's disciple, and her relationship with Zhu Zhuqing developed into that of close dormmates and senior-junior sisters. 18 19

After reaching level 30, Chen An fulfilled his promise to resolve the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda's inherent limitation. Her martial soul ultimately evolved into the Heavenly Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, giving her a path beyond the historical seven-ring limit of her clan. 63 66 67
