Shrek is described as the Douluo Continent’s foremost soul master faction. Its prestige extends to the Sun Moon Continent and rests on more than ten thousand years of accumulated reputation. Its tournament teams are said to win the championship roughly nine times out of ten 42 60.

The academy’s extraordinary political standing also derives from its role thousands of years earlier, when it led the Douluo Continent’s powerhouses against the invading Sun Moon Continent. Yan Shaozhe later seeks to repeat that leadership during the soul ring crisis, hoping to expand Shrek’s influence further 102.
