"Today, the Tark Patriarch will bring all Nucerians a magnificent grand gladiatorial spectacle, as always! He has decided to spend this day with every Nucerian and share his joy!"

"And today, among the incomparably brave and beloved Gladiators, ten fortunate ones will step onto the Red Sand to face the five most terrifying enemies!"

Maggot Eye soared above the Arena, delivering his usual words with apparent enthusiasm.

Somewhere in the Arena, the Host pressed a control button. Then, the massive gates standing on either side of the combat zone, above that scorching stretch of Red Sand, slowly opened.

Of the two gates leading into the combat zone, one was for Gladiators to pass through. Opposite the gate leading to the Gladiators' quarters was the one used by people or things that were not Gladiators.

"Today isn't a standard bout. No matter who comes out of that gate, there's no need to show mercy."

Qin Xa walked at the head of the ten Gladiators empty-handed, issuing instructions as he went.

Those words meant nothing to most Gladiators who had struggled in the Arena for years. Of course they knew that enemies coming through the gate opposite the Gladiators' quarters were there to slaughter them all. Who would show mercy?

But not every Gladiator was experienced, such as the two new Gladiators in Qin Xa's team of ten.

More accurately, they were two children.

One was a little girl. She looked very young, but her eyes revealed ferocity and determination.

The other was a little boy named Yochuka.

He was the boy who had come along when Yochula's mother brought supplies to the cave that day.

The two children had been sent in that morning while the Gladiators were eating. When
