"It's over." Cole stepped forward to stand before Quadrant. "You are formidable, Fabricator-General."
Quadrant turned his head, but he was looking at Qin Xa.
Qin Xa pursed his lips, nodded repeatedly, and gave him a thumbs-up.
"The technology used by this body is forbidden, but not to the extent that we would do anything to you." Cole lowered his head to look down at the synthetic body.
The Custodes' vision could perceive the fundamental components of the body. They were neither cells nor metal materials, but a miraculous substance that had predecessors yet would have no successors.
Cole continued, "We hope you will not involve yourself in research concerning Abominable Intelligence."
"The Emperor is already preparing to lift the ban on the use of Abominable Intelligence, though only within the Webway." Quadrant looked at Cole as he answered.
The Shield-Captain fell silent for a moment, then nodded. "It seems humanity has reached a new stage. When facing new challenges, we truly should change our thinking. This is wise. We Custodes are warriors in the end; our thinking is still far too antiquated."
"You are The Emperor's biological robots." Quadrant reached out, shoved Cole in the chest, and walked toward Qin Xa.
Cole had not deliberately stepped aside when he was pushed. He was forcibly shoved away.
"Return to Mars, Quadrant," Qin Xa said. "Kelbo Hal will be designated a rebel. Mars will probably promote you to Fabricator-General soon."
