Background

Tang San entered Nuoding Academy as Yu Xiaogang's disciple. He publicly showed deference to Yu Xiaogang by kowtowing to him, but lost a contest with Xiao Wu, who became Dorm Seven's boss 4. He held Yu Xiaogang in high regard and regarded Chen Yu's rejection of his teacher as a serious mistake 14.

Chen Yu later exposed Tang San as Tang Hao's son. Tang Hao confirmed the relationship, revealed the conflict involving the Clear Sky Sect and Martial Soul Hall, and removed Tang San from Nuoding Academy for his safety 26 27. Tang San consequently vowed to cultivate, destroy Martial Soul Hall, and avenge his mother 27. Tang Hao also took Xiao Wu with them when leaving Nuoding Academy 27. Tang San's identity was subsequently concealed under the name Tang Yin while he was among the Shrek students 45.

Chen Yu forcibly removed Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, costing Tang San his leg. A healing soul master could not restore it; Tang San obtained a prosthetic and secretly left Shrek Academy after adapting to it 77 78 79.

Driven by the desire to regrow his limb and avenge himself on Chen Yu, Tang San began devouring soul beasts and spirit masters through the Eight Spider Lances and his mutated Blue Silver Grass 81 102. His increasingly indiscriminate consumption led to his designation as an Evil Spirit Master and progressively damaged his self-control 102 147. His devouring-based cultivation eventually restored his right leg, though it further intensified his corruption 102 112.

After Chen Yu seized him at the Heaven Dou–Star Luo battlefield, Tang San was handed to the Blue Silver Emperor within the Blue Silver Space 149 152. There, she bound him over the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, drained his energy, and used his blood—enriched through his past devouring—to nourish the surrounding immortal herbs 261.

In the God Realm era ten thousand years later, a future Tang San ascends as a God King and attempts to preserve control over the Douluo Continent through arrangements left in the lower realm 252 258. Chen Yu ultimately captures this future God King Tang San as well, bringing him before the younger Blood-Eyed Tang San 273 274.

After awakening his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San is described as a handsome, striking youth with blue hair and blue eyes 43 77.

Personality

Tang San is initially devoted to Yu Xiaogang and protective of his teacher's reputation, while also displaying pride in possessing the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record and contempt for Chen Yu's methods 11 14.

After losing his leg, he becomes intensely focused on revenge and rapid self-improvement. He is patient and tactically cautious when necessary, using concealment and retreat rather than confronting overwhelming numbers directly 81 148. However, his pursuit of strength erodes his restraint: he kills opponents who plead for mercy, devours corpses without hesitation, and increasingly struggles to control his appetite for souls and bodies 81 147.

His attachment to Xiao Wu becomes possessive and destabilizing. He seeks retaliation when hearing that she is being harassed, and later becomes mentally unstable when separated from her 113 149. He nevertheless refuses to plead with Chen Yu after being captured, choosing to confront him with hostility and dignity instead 148 149.

As a future God King, Tang San becomes increasingly secretive and controlling. He monitors developments on the Douluo Continent, seeks to manipulate the Child of Luck through his daughter, and works to consolidate influence for the Tang family in the God Realm 252 258 259.

Nuoding Academy

Tang San begins as Yu Xiaogang's disciple and a Dorm Seven student. He loses to Xiao Wu in the contest for dorm boss, then leaves the academy with Tang Hao after his lineage is exposed 4 26 27.

Shrek Academy and the Loss of His Leg

Under the alias Tang Yin, Tang San attends Shrek Academy with Xiao Wu and the other students. Chen Yu identifies him, forcibly takes his Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, and leaves him permanently unable to restore the lost limb through normal healing 45 77 78.

Evil Spirit Master

Tang San leaves Shrek, develops a prosthetic leg, and turns to devouring soul beasts and spirit masters to regain power. His Blue Silver Emperor mutates, and reports identify him as a man-eating Evil Spirit Master 79 102 113.

Dual Divine Inheritance

After consuming a large tribe of soul beasts, Tang San is selected by both the Asura God King and the God King of Evil. He accepts their inheritances and works toward becoming a Titled Douluo 114.

Battlefield Breakthrough

Supported covertly by the Star Luo Empire, Tang San consumes corpses from the Heaven Dou–Star Luo war. He breaks through to Titled Douluo, but Chen Yu suppresses him and Ma Hongjun before they can escape 146 148. Chen Yu then kills Ma Hongjun and takes Tang San away from the battlefield 149.

Captivity and God-Realm Conflict

Chen Yu takes Tang San away and later confines him in the Blue Silver Space, where Tang San witnesses further manipulation involving Tang Hao and the Blue Silver Emperor 149 261 262. The Blue Silver Emperor suspends him above the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, continually extracts his energy, and uses his blood to cultivate the surrounding herbs 261.

In the later God Realm era, Tang San appears as a God King attempting to preserve his plans on the Douluo Continent and manipulate the future Child of Luck 252 258 259. Chen Yu seizes the God King Tang San from ten thousand years in the future, places him before the younger Blood-Eyed Tang San, and subsequently claims the God Realm Hub 273 274.
