For the moment, setting aside the fact that Solam knew Orcish, the intelligence provided by this Black Orc had truly startled everyone. It turned out there was a mastermind behind the recent monster unrest in the Cloud Peaks.

This red dragon was not famous on the continent. At least, Solam had never heard the name before, which did not fit the usual style of red dragons at all. Red dragons were the most powerful of the five evil chromatic dragons.

Red dragons were enormous. Their powerful claws and fangs alone were enough to become an adventurer's nightmare. They often used breath attacks and other special physical attacks, along with the magic they had mastered since ancient times. Red dragons were also violent, bloodthirsty, and insatiably greedy—renowned bandits among dragonkind!

Every red dragon had a resounding reputation across the continent. Basically, every red dragon earned its first fortune by robbing towns and villages, so any red dragon would leave some sort of name behind on the continent.

(After reaching adulthood, red dragons generally stopped robbing intelligent creatures, because by then they no longer cared about the wealth of small towns. Yet they did not dare openly rob larger cities either—there were simply far too many people on the Faerun Continent who wanted to become dragon slayers. So once red dragons became adults, they turned their attention toward robbing their own kind—other dragons!)
