The Heavenly Dream Demon Emperor began as a begonia tree in Great Dream Marsh. After absorbing Heaven and Earth Profound Qi and the essences of the sun and moon for countless years, he attained human form and independently cultivated into a Sub-God. He became the first generation Demon Emperor of Great Dream Marsh and a leader of the Demon Clan. 698 904

During his era, the Purple Gold Imperial Lord was his foremost rival. The two fought repeated life-and-death battles as leaders of the Demon and Human Clans respectively. Although the Heavenly Dream Demon Emperor never defeated the Purple Gold Imperial Lord, he survived three of the latter's attacks despite being driven to spit blood. 684 907

To oppose the Human Clan's Demon Suppressing Tower, he refined the Town Suppressing Tower to imprison human experts and counter the Purple Gold Imperial Clan. 698 He later created the Heavenly Killing Six Intentions after studying the secret arts of six major Demon Clans, intending to overcome the Purple Gold Imperial Lord's Primal Chaos Unifying Sword; the Purple Gold Imperial Lord died before their rematch could occur. 907
