Background / History

Bei Bei is one of the three remaining Tang Sect members alongside Tang Ya and Ji Siyuan. When Tang Ya is devastated by the sect's restrictive rule requiring its future Sect Master to possess Blue Silver Grass, Bei Bei comforts her and supports abolishing the rule. He remains open-minded after Ji Siyuan reveals that he already knows the Tang Sect's core techniques. 3

He accompanies Tang Ya, Ji Siyuan, and Huo Yuhao into the Star Dou Great Forest. As the group's strongest combatant at the time, he protects the others against a Mandala Snake and later helps subdue a thousand-year Flame Demon Lion for Ji Siyuan's first Soul Ring. 6

Tang Ya's worsening insecurity and dark attribute place Bei Bei at the center of the effort to save her. He tries to stop her from leaving Shrek, remains by her side during her recovery, and offers to cripple his own Martial Soul rather than let her believe his growth has made him abandon her.
