Background / History

Collapse of the Western Alliance

The world was once home to the technologically advanced Western Alliance, a regional hegemon that had endured for more than four thousand years. On December 5, 4085 of the Alliance calendar, a Blood Moon appeared without warning. Humans, animals, and pets began mutating, while a zombie virus spread worldwide. 1

The Alliance initially contained infected areas through military force. Its defenses failed after the first Red-Eyed Zombie evolved on January 13, 4086: these zombies possessed greater strength, speed, contamination, and rudimentary intelligence. Zombie hordes soon breached the blockade, while mutated monsters, malevolent spirits, and specters appeared under the Blood Moon. By February 9, mass outbreaks had brought down major cities and ultimately destroyed the Western Alliance. 1

Scattered armies and survivors subsequently established independent settlements to preserve what remained of humanity. In this environment, strength became the principal measure of leadership and survival. 1 46

Blood Moon Pollution

The Blood Moon's influence did more than create zombies. It damaged and distorted the world's Heavenly Dao and rules, driving the world toward alienation, mutation, and increasingly bizarre phenomena. Its effects included the emergence of ghost domains, mutated races, Corpse Race bloodlines, and entities resembling chaotic gods. 139 328 452

The Blood Moon was ultimately identified as the central source of the apocalypse. Its blood power exceeded the carrying capacity of a Small Thousand World, gradually assimilating the world's rules and corrupting its life forms. The Scarlet Queen was not the Blood Moon itself, but a parasitic will born from its overwhelming power. 417 452

Zheng Yi's Intervention

The world's instinctive Gaia Consciousness resisted the Blood Moon's degradation and, through an unexplained resonance, drew the transmigrator Zheng Yi into the world. Though the world's origin lacked true self-awareness, it selected him as a balancing response to the external pollution. 417

Zheng Yi established the Soul Hall, consolidated Luo City, and developed a faith-based civilization centered on the Mount Tai God and the Netherworld Son of Heaven. His expansion changed the world's projected fate: without his interference, the Corpse Race and its Extraterritorial Demonic Kingdom could have eradicated humanity and replaced it with their own order. 165 236

The world's origin appeared to recognize Zheng Yi's destruction of forces that were consuming it, particularly the Corpse Race. However, as Zheng Yi's Divine Realm grew and began absorbing the world's authority, the Apocalyptic World also came to reject him as another external force competing for its origin. 239 337

Divine Kingdom Conversion

Zheng Yi reshaped the world into a faith-powered divine system. The Soul Hall governed the living Human Realm, while the Netherworld Son of Heaven presided over the Netherworld, the Eighteen Levels of Hell, and the spirits of the dead. 229

The Demon Realm was later opened as a fourth realm. Rather than exterminating all native demons and monsters, Zheng Yi gathered them into the Yin-Yang Realm to preserve the rules embedded within their existence. The Three Realms Tree stabilized and linked the Heavenly Dao Realm, Human Realm, Netherworld, and Demon Realm. 329

City God Temples were established throughout the Western Continent as divine nodes. Their combined barrier repaired damaged rules, separated the realms, and formed the Land Divine Kingdom. 335

Completion and Departure

By the time Tai Yue Divine Lord had subdued the Four Continents and Three Seas, the Death Strait remained the sole refuge of the Blood Moon's influence. 417

Zheng Yi confronted the Blood Moon's fragmented will, sealed it within the Death Strait, and later used the Creation Divine Boat and Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation to sever the Scarlet Queen's origin from the Blood Moon. The Death Strait was then refined, completing Zheng Yi's control over the world. 418 426

The completed Nine Provinces Divine Kingdom was loaded onto the Noah's Ark-level Creation Divine Boat and taken into the Starry Sky Domain with its inhabitants. 452 461
