Background

Zheng Yi conceived the Great Luo Alliance as a means of merging the Qi Family, Soul Devouring Sect, and Black Cliff Mountain into a single force. He chose the name “Great Luo” to commemorate the Gathering Place he controlled in Luo City of the Apocalyptic World. The alliance was intended to exploit a regional power vacuum, consolidate resources, and support Zheng Yi's cultivation and expansion. 132

The Qi Family readily supported the merger because it was Zheng Yi's loyal subordinate force and the weakest party in the original tripartite arrangement. The weakened Soul Devouring Sect was brought under control through Yi Xunyou, while Black Cliff Mountain presented the principal obstacle due to its loose structure, rival cliques, and independent rogue-cultivator factions. 132

The alliance was formally founded at the renovated Soul Devouring Sect mountain gate. Zheng Yi took the Alliance Master position, while the silence of Yin Jade Matriarch, Yellow Crane Daoist, and Mirage Lord made clear that his authority was genuine rather than ceremonial. 133 134

History

Founding and Early Expansion

The Great Luo Alliance emerged from Zheng Yi's consolidation of three local forces. Its rapid formation alarmed nearby sects and cultivation families, which considered a united alliance far more dangerous than the previously fragmented Soul Devouring Sect and Black Cliff Mountain. 132 134

Within three years, the alliance had expanded its territory, absorbed surrounding forces, and increased its Foundation Establishment cultivators to eight. Its Blood Cultivators became the central force directly controlled by Zheng Yi. 145

Xin Family and the Qin Family War

The Xin Family entered the alliance after the Qin Family destroyed much of its clan and seized the White Yi Sword Qi Stone Mine. Zheng Yi recovered Xin Lingxian, secured the Xin Family's allegiance, and established an artifact-refining branch to incorporate its expertise. 151 171

Using the Xin Family's destruction as justification, the Great Luo Alliance attacked the Qin Family. Gongliang Shu demanded the return of the Xin Family's territory, compensation, and the surrender of those responsible; Zheng Yi then intervened with Purple Mansion-level strength, crushing Qin Wufeng and shifting the conflict decisively in the alliance's favor. 172 173

The alliance seized the White Yi Sword Qi Stone Mine and occupied nearly half of the Qin Family's territory. Its gains later attracted retaliation from the Qin Family's Purple Mansion ancestor, who reclaimed the mine while Zheng Yi was absent. 173 183

Siege by the Three Sects

The Golden Celestial Sect joined with Star Devouring Demon City and the Savage Beast Sect to besiege the Great Luo Alliance. The attackers sought both the alliance's accumulated wealth and information concerning the lost Tai Bai Divine Metal. 193 198

Despite being outnumbered and gradually losing its outer territories, the alliance maintained cohesion. Its Blood Cultivators, fortified mountain gate, defensive formations, and extensive spending on alliances and countermeasures delayed the siege for nearly three months. 197 198

When the mountain gate faced imminent collapse, Zheng Yi returned as the Ghost Lord with Netherworld Soldiers, Ghost Kings, and the Five Ghost Soul Lifting Carriage. His arrival restored morale throughout the alliance. 198 199

Rise to Regional Hegemony

Zheng Yi annihilated the five Purple Mansion cultivators commanding the invading army, including Golden Celestial Sect Grand Elder Bao Xuzi. The Great Luo Alliance then pursued the routed enemy, while surrounding sects and families rushed to seek cooperation after the victory. 203

Taiyin Xuantian Sect prevented the alliance from completely annexing the Golden Celestial Sect, but Zheng Yi obtained reparations and its mountain gate. The site was transformed into the base of the Asura Orthodoxy. 206

With its territory expanded more than tenfold, strong military forces, and abundant resources, the Great Luo Alliance became a hegemon-level power in the surrounding region. 232
