Background / History

Ling Xiao was conscious before hatching from the third Golden Crow egg. Upon taking human form, he changed his name from Lin Xiao to the homophonous Ling Xiao, then greeted Di Jun and Tai Yi as his elder brothers. Their closeness stems from their shared origin as Golden Crows. 2

Unlike Di Jun and Tai Yi, Ling Xiao immediately recognized that the brothers had taken form too late in a perilous era. He concluded that unifying the Demon Race or founding a Demon Court would invite the Witch-Demon Catastrophe, so he chose concealment, cultivation, and long-term preparation over open ambition. 2

His early rise established him as the strongest of the Three Crows. He defeated Jieyin with the Primordial Cauldron and Primordial Measuring Ruler, later claimed the Three Immortal Islands for the Golden Crow Clan, and became widely feared after repeatedly overcoming major Primordial powers. 12 76
