Background / History

Sasuke attended the Ninja Academy as its top student and was openly dismissive of classmates he considered beneath him. His rivalry with Naruto Uzumaki began early; after Naruto accidentally kissed him during a confrontation, Sasuke returned home humiliated and in tears. 5 7 8

Before the Uchiha clan's destruction, Sasuke lived with his mother Mikoto and elder brother Itachi. He admired Itachi intensely, took pride in being escorted to school by him, and asked him to come home safely before Itachi left on a mission. 8 9

Following the Uchiha clan's annihilation, Sasuke fell into a coma. Upon waking, he initially rejected the concern of his classmates, then resolved to survive and kill Itachi. He specifically asked Qingwu for help in pursuing that revenge. 15
