Background / History

Sasuke entered the Ninja Academy as a gifted but aloof student. His academy performance in Transformation, Clone, Substitution, and throwing techniques was described as excellent, while his childhood emotional state was already marked by intense fluctuations surrounding his unusual eyes. 2 9

After becoming a member of Team 7 under Kakashi Hatake, Sasuke stated that he had no dream, only two ambitions: restoring the Uchiha clan and killing “a certain man.” His hatred toward Itachi originated in the Uchiha Clan Massacre, where he witnessed his parents' deaths and was repeatedly forced through the experience by Itachi's Tsukuyomi. 20 94 95

Encounters with Kakashi's Sharingan, Ling Xuan's analysis, Zabuza, and Orochimaru exposed the gap between Sasuke and far stronger shinobi.
