"I know...!"

An eye appeared on the Adamantine Staff, and it instantly stretched to an infinite length.

Hearing Madara Uchiha's voice, Black Zetsu's lips curled into a faint smile. Looking at the Susanoo before him, he felt quite pleased with himself.

Suddenly, Black Zetsu looked up and saw that Madara Uchiha, standing inside the Susanoo's forehead, already had the Straight Tomoe Mangekyō Sharingan. He was utterly stunned, as though all his efforts had been for nothing.

Once that happened, his mother could be resurrected. Seeing that Madara Uchiha had awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Black Zetsu left, satisfied. No one noticed the strange creature on the Nine-Tails.

Madara Uchiha swatted the Nine-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb away. It exploded dozens of miles off, and the blast wave made everyone in Konoha feel as if the earth were shaking.

At Konoha Hospital, Hashirama Senju sensed the immense power as soon as the Nine-Tails appeared. He pulled all the needles out of his body and vanished from the spot.

"A fox with nine tails? What the heck is that?"

"You dare destroy my village? You're asking for death."

Hashirama Senju arrived at the village entrance and saw the enormous Nine-Tails and Madara Uchiha's Susanoo. His brow furrowed, a murderous glint flashed in his eyes, and he immediately activated Senjutsu.

A circle appeared on Hashirama Senju's forehead, with a black dot in its center. Dark circles appeared around his eyes, with curved black lines extending from beneath each eye to his ears. He furrowed his brow.

"Senjutsu—Gate of the Great God."

In an instant, Hashirama Senju summoned more than a dozen wooden stakes shaped like the character for "open." They descended from the sky, plummeting toward the Nine-Tails.

"Bam, bam, bam...!"

"Roar...!"

"Damn human, let me go! Roar...!"

The massive stakes quickly pinned down the Nine-Tails' tails and limbs, leaving him unable to fight back. He roared at Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha.

"The Deputy Hokage is here too! Amazing—he subdued the Nine-Tails in an instant. It can't even move!"

"Both First are incredibly powerful. No wonder they're evenly matched. They make dealing with a mighty Nine-Tails look effortless."

Hashirama Senju returned home and, without another word, took Mito Uzumaki by the hand and disappeared with her.
