The Tenseigan Is Successfully Created

Looking at how docile the Mini Ten-Tails was, Ensei Uchiha still had some misgivings, but at that moment, he didn't have much right to question it.

He instructed the Mini Ten-Tails to stay put and behave, then began setting up barriers throughout the underground space and leaving Flying Thunder God marks in some concealed corners.

Setting up the barriers was a lengthy process. Ensei's Sealing Jutsu skills were decent, but they still fell far short of Kushina Uzumaki's.

Besides, barriers generally required a group of sealing ninja to set up together.

Ensei was working alone, and he had high standards for the barriers he was setting up, so it was only natural that progress was slow.

Once the barriers were complete, Ensei took out four more Artificial Human puppets.

At present, the bodies of No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 had all been sealed with a portion of Tailed Beast Chakra. It wasn't much, but it was more than enough to fend off enemies briefly in a pinch.

And even if they couldn't beat their opponents, they could join forces with No. 4 to perform the Four Red Yang Formation.

That technique could even withstand a Ten-Tails Bomb, so it would certainly hold up against an enemy for a while.

Next, Ensei set up a few other measures, such as Self-Destruct Flies, Patrick Stars, and some high-tech items like explosives.

By the time he'd finished everything, three days had passed.

Throughout that time, the Mini Ten-Tails had remained obediently in place. Apart from expressing hunger when Ensei came near, it had made no other moves.

After thinking it over, Ensei had the Mini Ten-Tails separate off a small piece, which he then sealed away.

Then he inscribed hundreds of Flying Thunder God marks on the Mini Ten-Tails and buried a Flying Thunder God Kunai inside its body.

Only then did Ensei allow the Mini Ten-Tails to absorb the Natural Energy in the space.

Since the Dragon Vein Seal had been leaking for three days, the Natural Energy here had naturally become abundant. But until Ensei gave the order, the Mini Ten-Tails hadn't chosen to consume any of it.

That suggested the Mini Ten-Tails could be trusted.

Still, Ensei believed he needed to remain as vigilant as possible.

Another two days passed. The food Ensei had brought with him was nearly gone, so he used Flying Thunder God to resupply in a town in the Land of Fire.

Out of caution, Ensei activated the Byakugan's ability to see through things and discovered several White Zetsu lurking beneath the town.

What a stroke of luck—he'd found exactly what he was looking for!

Ensei was ecstatic, but he left the town as if he hadn't noticed a thing.

Once a White Zetsu came within about a hundred meters, he pretended to spot it and seized it in one swift move.

After one White Zetsu was captured, the others hurriedly fled.

Just as Ensei thought he'd only netted one White Zetsu that day, another one suddenly approached to within about a hundred meters.

It was obviously testing him.

Without hesitation, Ensei struck and caught another one.

Then, as if a thought had just occurred to him, he began moving quickly around the area. Whenever a White Zetsu came within a hundred meters, he captured it on the spot.

After he'd caught two in a row, the remaining White Zetsu finally burrowed deeper than a hundred meters underground.

After circling the area twice and "finding" no more White Zetsu, Ensei promptly used Flying Thunder God to return to the research lab in the Uchiha Clan's compound.

The lab's equipment was all still there, but the traces left by whoever had investigated it were glaringly obvious. They didn't seem to have bothered hiding them at all.

People from Konoha? How interesting.

After placing the scroll containing the White Zetsu in a hidden compartment, Ensei used Flying Thunder God without hesitation to travel to a concealed spot along the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning.

Only then did he use Flying Thunder God again to return to the Rōran Ruins.

After observing the Mini Ten-Tails for a few more days, Ensei finally ordered it to go to the place where the Dragon Vein Seal was located.

He also warned it not to damage the Dragon Vein Seal and to absorb only the Natural Energy leaking out of it.

Then Ensei tossed two cloned bodies carrying the Byakugan and Hyuga Clan bloodline into the Mini Ten-Tails, instructing it to cultivate them in a targeted manner.

From then on, Ensei extracted large amounts of ocular power every day from the one hundred thousand Byakugan sealed inside his Eight Trigrams Seal, using it to nurture the Clone Bodies within the Mini Ten-Tails.

Sure enough, with the Mini Ten-Tails' help, the Tenseigan's gestation progressed much faster.

Finally, after several months, the third gestation phase ended, and the power of the Tenseigan finally emerged.

Unable to wait, Ensei used the Spirit Transformation Technique and chose one of the bodies to enter. At first, he felt some slight discomfort, but it soon gave way to a pleasant sensation.

At that moment, it was as if his entire soul had been cleansed.

After testing it, Ensei found that this seemed to be exactly what had happened. His spiritual energy had suddenly increased by a substantial amount, likely as a result of feedback from the body.

Next, Ensei tried the second body.

This time, there were no other changes. He simply felt that he'd grown more adaptable to the body.

Over the following stretch of time, Ensei began testing the Tenseigan's abilities and its limits in battle.

In terms of power, it had definitely reached the level of the Rinnegan. In some respects, it even surpassed it, such as its ability to form Truth-Seeking Orbs.

But compared to the Rinnegan, the Tenseigan seemed to lack staying power. If he fought at full strength, it could only last for a relatively short time.

Of course, "short" was only in comparison to the Rinnegan.

Measured in Chakra, it held about as much as half the Eight-Tails.

Once the Tenseigan's Chakra ran out, it would have to draw power from the Byakugan sealed inside Ensei's body or absorb Chakra from the outside to replenish itself.

In short, the Tenseigan couldn't restore its own power.

Like the Rinnegan, the Tenseigan could absorb Chakra, and it didn't even require physical contact; the target just had to be within a certain range.

As a weapon for the present, the Tenseigan had plenty of flaws, but in terms of combat power alone, it was undoubtedly up to the task.

Ensei also tested the limits of the Spirit Transformation Technique. He discovered that as long as he carried enough Chakra, he could go for months without returning to his original body.

But Ensei had no intention of abandoning his original body. This was only a stopgap measure.

He also planned to have the Mini Ten-Tails cultivate his body in every way possible. If it could, he wanted his body to develop the supreme potential of the Otsutsuki Clan.

After conveying his wishes to the Mini Ten-Tails, Ensei watched as it slowly swallowed his body.

After a moment's thought, Ensei tossed the two Mangekyō Sharingan in as well.

Rather than awaken eyes with unknown abilities, he'd prefer to choose Kamui and Kotoamatsukami. Whether it would work, though, was up to luck.

Ensei canceled the Spirit Transformation Technique and returned to his original body. After getting a feel for what it was like inside the Mini Ten-Tails, he used the technique again and entered the Clone Body.

He would probably be using this body for the next few years.

After placing the other body that possessed the Tenseigan inside the Mini Ten-Tails too, Ensei gave it one last lingering look and finally decided to return to Konoha.
