Background / History

Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall

Bibi Dong entered Spirit Hall at six and became Qian Xunji's disciple. As Holy Maiden and designated papal successor, she could access almost all of the organization's resources outside the Worship Hall 9 170.

She met Yu Xiaogang in Spirit City's library and fell in love with him. Using her authority, she gave him access to Spirit Hall's records, including information about the Angel Head Bone's soul skill. She wanted to leave with him and help strengthen the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan 217 256.

Qian Xunji prevented her departure, sexually assaulted her, and forced her to bear Qian Renxue. He also threatened Yu Xiaogang's life to stop her from committing suicide. Bibi Dong subsequently viewed herself as unworthy of Yu Xiaogang and developed an enduring hatred of Qian Xunji and the Angel Clan 17 19 217.

Failed Assassination and Departure

After Tang Hao gravely injured Qian Xunji, Bibi Dong posed as a devoted disciple nursing him back to health. Her medicine concealed poison intended to suppress his soul power, while her apparent tenderness helped mislead the guards 2 8 9.

She attempted to kill him in his aura-blocking cultivation chamber, declaring that she had waited nine years for revenge. Qian Daoliu's protective Angel Divine Power counteracted the poison, and Qian Xunji's Six-Winged Angel severely suppressed her Death Spider Emperor 9.

Qian Xunji later restored her sealed soul power and told her where to find Yu Xiaogang. He warned that leaving would permanently remove her from Spirit Hall's membership. Before departing, she violently rejected Qian Renxue's attempt to approach her 17.

Unbeknownst to Bibi Dong, Qian Daoliu had recruited a hundred-thousand-year Death Spider Emperor to copy her appearance. This substitute, Bibi Zhu, immediately began caring for Qian Renxue in her place 7 18.

Hu Liena and the Blue Silver Forest

Bibi Dong took Hu Liena as her disciple and left Martial Soul City with her. They eventually joined Yu Xiaogang at Nuoding Academy, where Bibi Dong recovered from her injuries and supervised Hu Liena's education 20 38.

While searching for a suitable soul beast for Hu Liena, she fought the Blue Silver King and destroyed the Blue Silver Forest with spider poison and soul skills. She absorbed the King's ring and left arm bone, reaching level 92, then hunted a nearly seven-hundred-year Dream Illusion Flower for her disciple 57 58 59.

Her protection of Hu Liena extended beyond cultivation: she objected to Shrek Academy's poor food and living conditions. She also abducted Xiao Wu after recognizing her hundred-thousand-year soul-beast identity, intending to reserve her ring for Hu Liena. Tang Hao intervened and severely injured Bibi Dong 75 77 79.

Identity Theft and Public Discrediting

At the Soto Great Soul Arena, Bibi Dong approached Qian Xunfeng as a potential means of opening the Rakshasa God trials. Instead, she encountered Qian Renxue and Bibi Zhu together. Qian Renxue believed Bibi Zhu was her mother and attacked the real Bibi Dong as an impostor 111 112.

Bibi Dong's anger was accompanied by panic, jealousy, and grief at seeing her daughter accept another woman. She regretted leaving Qian Renxue behind and correctly identified Qian Daoliu as the architect of the substitution. Bibi Zhu defeated her strongest attack, forcing her to retreat 113 114 120 121.

Tang San later deduced that the substitute was the Death Spider Emperor. Yu Xiaogang briefly proposed that Bibi Zhu might be Bibi Dong's biological mother, but the eventual revelation established that she was a separate soul beast copying Bibi Dong's appearance 129 130 251.

Spirit Hall publicly presented Bibi Zhu as its former Holy Maiden and Spider Emperor Douluo. When Yu Xiaogang tried to expose her at Pope Hall, Qian Daoliu turned the confrontation against him and Bibi Dong. The audience rejected Bibi Dong's identity, and Qian Daoliu struck her away from Spirit City, permanently disfiguring half her face 162 190 198 202 207 216 226.

Collapse of Her Relationship with Yu Xiaogang

Bibi Dong's attachment to Yu Xiaogang made her fiercely possessive. After Liu Erlong and Flender humiliated him, she severely beat both of them and left them unconscious, suspended from a web 174 175.

Her confidence in Yu Xiaogang eventually broke down. When she proposed a formal wedding, his reluctance and concern about her ruined appearance deepened her anger. The collapse of her romantic ideal renewed the Rakshasa God's interest in her as an inheritor 226 227.

She then sought to destroy what Yu Xiaogang cherished. She killed his father, Yu Yuanzhen, using her clone, poison, and spider-thorn attacks, and took his three inherited soul bones for Hu Liena 238.

Conflict with Qian Renxue

After recovering from injuries over half a year, Bibi Dong hunted the Titan Giant Ape for a hundred-thousand-year soul bone. She poisoned and pursued it, only to encounter Qian Renxue and Bibi Zhu 249 250 251.

Bibi Zhu admitted that she had copied Bibi Dong's appearance and replaced her when Qian Renxue was about nine. Bibi Dong tried to persuade her daughter to return to her, but Qian Renxue rejected the appeal and continued recognizing Bibi Zhu as her mother 251 252.

Bibi Dong initially considered leaving the ape's ring for Qian Renxue while taking its bone herself. After her daughter refused reconciliation, she attempted to kill the beast to deny Qian Renxue its ring. Qian Renxue and Bibi Zhu defeated her together; Qian Renxue spared her life but warned her not to oppose Spirit Hall again 254 255.

When Qian Renxue began her final god inheritance, Bibi Dong panicked. Still years away from completing her own ascension, she tried to take Hu Liena into hiding to buy time 265.

Failed Ascension and Final Placement

Bibi Dong eventually attempted her Rakshasa ascension in Slaughter City. A vast purple formation consumed the blood, life force, and soul power of countless Fallen Ones, while undead Tang Xiao and Yu Yuanzhen defended it 298.

Hu Liena leaked information about the trial to Qian Xunfeng. He interrupted the ritual, destroyed Slaughter City, and shattered Bibi Dong's dantian rather than killing her 301.

Bibi Dong begged Hu Liena to take her away, then learned of her disciple's involvement. Hu Liena confronted her over lost cultivation opportunities and the danger she had faced in Slaughter City. Bibi Dong remained convinced that she had acted in her disciple's best interests 301 302.

Qian Xunfeng returned her to Spirit Hall. Qian Renxue declined to meet her but, acknowledging their blood ties, arranged for her to live at Tang Yuehua's Moonlight Pavilion with three meals provided each day 302.

Bibi Dong can sustain a convincing gentle facade while concealing murderous intent. Her care for the injured Qian Xunji deceives ordinary guards and senior Douluos alike, allowing her to approach him without raising suspicion 8 9.

Her devotion to Yu Xiaogang initially overrides criticism of his abilities. She interprets objections as jealousy and believes that her assault has made her unworthy of him. When that romantic ideal collapses, her attachment turns into a desire to make him watch the destruction of everything he values 17 39 227 238.

Her maternal feelings are conflicted. She abuses and rejects Qian Renxue, yet feels panic and sorrow when Bibi Zhu takes her place. Her attempted reconciliation later gives way to efforts to obstruct her daughter's advancement 17 112 114 254.

Toward Hu Liena, she is attentive, protective, and willing to obtain valuable cultivation resources. She eventually acknowledges that her misjudgment of Yu Xiaogang and Shrek Academy harmed her disciple's training, but at her final defeat still refuses Hu Liena's accusation that she kept hurting her 75 228 302.
