Background / History
Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor. He possesses twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. His rebirth grants him memories of a prior life in which he inherited the Sea God and Asura God positions and helped overthrow Martial Soul Hall with the Shrek Seven Devils. 71 132
Tang Hao initially dismisses Tang San's Blue Silver Grass as inferior, but reacts with pride and excitement when Tang San manifests the Clear Sky Hammer. Tang Hao instructs him to use the hammer to protect the Blue Silver Grass. 71 72
After arriving at Nuoding Academy with Old Jack, Tang San clashes with its gatekeeper and draws Yu Xiaogang's interest. Although Tang San considers Yu Xiaogang unworthy of his kneeling respect, he accepts him as teacher to preserve his cultivation foundation and protect those around him. 72 74
Tang San later confides his rebirth to Tang Xiao, explaining his former divine inheritance, family history, and the altered course of events. Tang Xiao accepts the truth after Tang San demonstrates knowledge he could not otherwise possess. 132
His Blue Silver Grass cultivation is compromised by Yu Xiaogang's poison-oriented path and by the destruction of the Blue Silver Forest. Tang San expects the Martial Soul to be unable to advance past level 59 if it cannot awaken as the Blue Silver Emperor. 201 280
At the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Tang San confronts a newborn Blue Silver Emperor containing his mother's reincarnated spiritual will. Qian Daoliu and the Blue Silver Emperor strip his inherited bloodline, after which his poisoned Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul shatters. 280 281 283
Appearance
Before losing his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San has soft black hair and a comparatively refined appearance. The extraction changes his body to resemble a rougher member of the Tang family. 283
- Black hair turns brown and becomes stiff like steel needles after the bloodline extraction. 283
- Skin becomes bronze in color after the extraction. 283
- His facial structure changes, making him resemble a younger Tang Hao. 283
- When deployed, the Eight Spider Lances emerge as eight glossy dark-purple legs from his spine. 116
Personality
Tang San is driven by loyalty to his family, attachment to Xiao Wu, and hatred toward Martial Soul Hall. He repeatedly risks his safety and reveals valuable abilities to protect Xiao Wu or pursue the recovery of his mother. 110 116 246
His past-life memories make him calculating and unusually mature. He withholds his rebirth for fear that foreknowledge could draw Martial Soul Hall's attention too early, yet he shares critical information with Tang Xiao and Ning Fengzhi when it becomes strategically necessary. 132 166
Despite recognizing that Yu Xiaogang guided his Blue Silver Grass down a flawed path, Tang San continues to acknowledge him as teacher because he believes Yu Xiaogang acted without malice. 225
