History
Rise of the Clear Sky Douluo
Tang Hao was a once-in-a-century Clear Sky Sect genius. He became a Soul Saint at thirty and a level 84 Soul Douluo at thirty-five; by age forty-four, he had become the youngest Title Douluo in the spirit master world. His victory over three Martial Soul Hall Title Douluos—including Qian Xunji—made both him and the Clear Sky Hammer famous across the continent. 3 4 22
He loved Ah Yin, the hundred-thousand-year transformed Blue Silver Emperor. When Martial Soul Hall pursued them, Ah Yin sacrificed herself, becoming Tang Hao's hundred-thousand-year soul ring and enabling his breakthrough to Title Douluo. Tang Hao used the Great Sumeru Hammer's Ring Detonation to fight through the encirclement, killing one Title Douluo, crippling another, and leaving Qian Xunji heavily wounded; the technique left him with severe hidden injuries. 4 15
Fall of the Clear Sky Sect
Martial Soul Hall demanded Tang Hao's surrender and threatened the Clear Sky Sect with annihilation. Though the sect publicly claimed to have expelled him, Martial Soul Hall rejected this claim because he still wielded the Clear Sky Hammer and used the sect's inherited techniques. 5
Tang Hao initially considered surrendering himself to spare the sect. Tang Yuehua instead offered to hide him and Tang San at Moonlight Pavilion, but Tang Hao left with his infant son, believing his damaged body could never reach level 99 and refusing to become a burden to the sect's plans. 15
Under Martial Soul Hall's pressure, the Clear Sky Sect revoked his inherited title of Clear Sky Douluo and registered the humiliating replacement title Sun-Sky-Sky Douluo. The title split the character in his name, “Hao,” into “Sun” and “Sky,” then added a second “Sky” to emphasize the sect's hopes for his future strength. 32 33 34
While Tang Hao lived in seclusion, the Clear Sky Sect was destroyed. Its surviving disciples blamed him for bringing Martial Soul Hall's retaliation upon them. 36 132
Life in Holy Soul Village
Tang Hao settled in Holy Soul Village as a blacksmith and raised Tang San. After Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass, Tang Hao initially regarded the martial soul as inferior, but became thrilled when Tang San revealed his second martial soul: a hammer. He advised Tang San to use the Clear Sky Hammer to protect Blue Silver Grass. 37 71 72
He continued to visit the Blue Silver Grass he believed to be Ah Yin, mourning her sacrifice and reaffirming his intention to protect Tang San and seek revenge against Martial Soul Hall. 73
Conflict over Xiao Wu and Tang San
After discovering Xiao Wu's identity as a hundred-thousand-year transformed Soft Bone Rabbit, Tang Hao regarded her as either Tang San's future wife or a potential future soul ring and soul bone. When Bibi Dong attempted to abduct Xiao Wu, Tang Hao intervened, protected Xiao Wu from the battle's shockwave, and severely injured Bibi Dong with the Clear Sky Hammer. 77 78
When Martial Soul Hall later targeted Tang San and Xiao Wu, Tang Hao was unable to intervene freely due to Qian Daoliu's overwhelming pressure. He endured the humiliation to protect his son, but moved to use Ring Detonation after Martial Soul Hall attempted to take Tang San's External Soul Bone. Qian Daoliu severed Tang Hao's right arm, seized his heirloom right-arm soul bone, and sent him away. 116 117
Sea God Island
At Tang Xiao's urging, Tang Hao traveled to Sea God Island to regain his lost cultivation and seek a trial that could strengthen the remnants of the Clear Sky Sect. Bo Saixi restored his right arm, after which Tang Hao recovered his cultivation, received the Top-tier Seven Trials, and became the successor to the Sea God Island High Priesthood. 133 134 144 145 146
Tang Hao completed the final trial and succeeded Bo Saixi as Sea God High Priest. He received the Sea God Scepter and Crown, as well as Sea God divine power. 232 233
Return to the Mainland
After his soul rings recovered and increased in age by five thousand years each, Tang Hao returned to the mainland. He learned that Martial Soul Hall had used Ah Yin as a competition prize and had captured Tang Xiao, prompting him to plan the awakening of Tang Chen before launching his revenge. 245
Tang Hao reunited with Tang San and learned that Qian Xunfeng possessed Ah Yin's soul ring and soul bone. Although he wanted to kill Qian Xunfeng immediately, Tang San convinced him that doing so could destroy any chance of reviving Ah Yin. 246 247
During the events in Slaughter City, Poseidon's divine sense took control of Tang Hao and used him to drive Bibi Dong out of the city. 247 248
Battle with Qian Xunfeng
As part of Qian Xunfeng's Sea God Seventh Trial, Tang Hao fought him on Sea God Island. Tang Hao began at full strength with Divine Slaughter's Domain and Clear Sky Avatar, but Qian Xunfeng used water manipulation, superior spiritual power, and concealment to keep him at range. 305 306
Tang Hao wounded Qian Xunfeng with his locking eighth soul skill, Sky-Rending Strike, then detonated all nine soul rings for a final attack. When Qian Xunfeng revealed Ah Yin's soul, Tang Hao froze; Qian Xunfeng exploited the opening with a spiritual attack, leaving Tang Hao severely injured and defeated. 307 308
Appearance
Tang Hao is a tall, heavily built man with bronze-colored skin. During his years in hiding, he appeared unkempt and impoverished, with tangled hair, stubble, tattered robes, and a weary expression. After becoming Sea God High Priest, he wore the crimson robes reserved for those who completed a top-tier Sea God trial. 15 77 184 233

Personality
Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San and responds violently to threats against his son. He was willing to sacrifice his own life through Ring Detonation to secure Tang San's escape, yet he also restrained himself when confronting Qian Daoliu because an unwinnable fight could endanger Tang San further. 105 117
He carries deep hatred toward Martial Soul Hall for Ah Yin's sacrifice, the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, and the loss of his arm. His anger repeatedly drives him toward immediate revenge, though he can suppress it when a more advantageous plan is available. 73 245 247
Tang Hao respects strength and relies heavily on direct force. Tai Tan's loyalty stems from Tang Hao defeating him through overwhelming power rather than technical superiority. 178
Despite Bo Saixi's aid, Tang Hao distrusts her neutrality toward Martial Soul Hall and privately regards her as naive. 143 145
