Jiang Nian serves as the Chief Instructor of the Yangzhou City Limit Martial Hall. Discovering Wang Ji’s Potential

Jiang Nian first notices Wang Ji after his punching force rises to 790 kg in two days. Though puzzled by the increase, he attributes it to Wang Ji’s previously poor force exertion and becomes excited at the prospect that he may soon surpass the quasi-martial artist threshold. 5

He formally takes interest in Wang Ji after learning that he is only seventeen, processes his Advanced Student Certificate, and encourages him to practice Stance Training and Cannon Fist. 6

Public Security Bureau Intervention

When Wang Ji is detained after defending Wang Yan from Liu Biao’s thug, Jiang Nian enters the interrogation room alongside a Public Security Bureau deputy director. He denounces the officers for restraining his student and uses his position to secure Wang Ji’s release. 6 7
