Background / History

The Heaven Mending Pavilion is an ancient cultivation sanctuary whose legacy has endured since ancient times. Its outer mountains alone contain dense spiritual energy, spiritual lakes, auspicious beasts, rare medicinal herbs, and carefully preserved spirit plants. It is regarded as a place where cultivation can progress far faster than in ordinary regions. 52 59

The Pavilion has produced deities in the past and maintains an Ancestor statue within its inner grounds. New disciples formally enter the sect only after passing through its mountain gate and paying respects to this statue. 59

Its prestige attracts candidates from across the Great Wilderness and neighboring ancient kingdoms. Powerful tribes, royal families, descendants of Primordial Remnants, and major factions send their youths to compete for admission; the Pavilion also dispatches envoys to identify talented children from distant tribes and escort them safely. 51 52

The standard trial begins in the Primitive Battlefield’s eight runic zones. Successful candidates proceed into the Second Battlefield, where they must obtain Heaven Mending Stones amid lethal competition. 53 55

Major Incidents

Troublemaker Kid Trial Disruption

During the selection trial, Shi Hao removed Rune Bones from the eighth zone, causing its formation to fail. Nearly ten thousand participants were able to clear that zone, creating an unprecedented admissions crisis for the Pavilion. 54 55 57

The elders could not easily revoke the successful candidates’ admissions after publicly declaring that those who passed the difficult trials would be accepted. 55

Black Fiend Lotus Theft

After sealing the Second Battlefield to capture the “Troublemaker Kid,” the Pavilion displayed its eight-hundred-year Black Fiend Lotus to visitors. Shi Hao infiltrated the area, stole the herb, and escaped; the Pavilion’s search recovered only six Treasure Bones he had left behind. 57 58

Ghost Master Incident

Shi Hao discovered the Ghost Master near the Sacrificial Spirit’s grounds: a supernatural figure with an ancient sword lodged in its head. The being’s appearance alarmed the Pavilion’s high-level figures, while Xiong Fei and Zhuo Yun fled from the scene. 63

The elders subsequently brought Shi Hao to the Ancient Hall and offered him access to the Scripture Depository in exchange for entering Hundred-Broken Mountain, retrieving the Ghost Master’s sword, and seeking the Immortal Spring. 64

Hundred-Broken Mountain Expedition

The Pavilion dispatched disciples to Hundred-Broken Mountain, a small world famed for inheritances, Heavenly Bones, holy medicine, and extreme danger. Tao Ye escorted Shi Hao and other Pavilion disciples to Broken Void City for the opening. 64 68

Within the mountain, Pavilion disciples fought alongside Shi Hao against hostile creatures and shared the medicinal flesh of defeated beasts, including the Nine-Headed Lion’s divine-power-bearing heads. 69 74
