The battlefield.

The two sides temporarily stopped fighting, waiting for Son Goku to arrive.

"Sorry, I was scared... I didn't..." Son Gohan said, looking apologetic and terrified.

"Hmph. What good is a coward like you? You've let me down." Piccolo snorted.

"Let it go. This was his first fight," Krillin tried to reason with him.

Piccolo silently glanced at Vegeta in the distance.

That big guy was already terrifying.

But the smaller Vegeta was even stronger. What were they supposed to do?

Even if Son Goku showed up, he probably wouldn't be able to beat them.

"Vegeta, why are we waiting for Kakarot?" Nappa asked, puzzled.

"It's simple. He's a traitor to the Saiyans." Vegeta picked up his Scouter and put it back over his eye. "We have to punish the traitor. We'll kill his son and his companions right in front of him. Then we'll slowly deal with him and let him struggle in agony! In another three or four hours, we can put on a Hell exhibition."

"So that's it. Brilliant, Vegeta." Nappa finally understood.

"If he gets here within three hours, we'll do exactly what I just said." Vegeta smiled.

"Leave Kakarot to you. I'll personally take care of the other three," Nappa said eagerly.

"Suit yourself. Just make sure the Namekian spits out the Dragon Ball," Vegeta said.

"Got it!" Nappa nodded. "It'd be great if Kakarot actually showed up."

"Also, that healer named Luo Tian is probably hiding somewhere. When we wipe out humanity, we'll have to find a way to track him down," Vegeta mused. "Wouldn't it be useful to have him serve us?"

"Ha ha, absolutely." Nappa nodded.

"Remember everything I've told you." Vegeta reminded him again. "I've already told you why we came here. Don't make me repeat myself."

In the distance.

"Why hasn't Goku arrived yet? Where did he go to train?" Krillin scratched his head. "I heard Luo Tian took him to train, but now we can't get in touch with him at all."

"I don't know when Dad will be back either." Son Gohan pouted.

"We should just run. If we can't win, there's no point in trying to act tough," Krillin suggested.

"You idiot. Their goal is to wipe out all of humanity. Running away won't help," Piccolo snorted.

"Goku! Please, hurry over here and show them what you can do!" Krillin gritted his teeth.

"Why hasn't that healer come?" Piccolo suddenly asked. "Is he scared?"

"You mean Luo Tian?" Krillin replied, startled.

"Is there any other healer?" Piccolo said coolly.

"Well... Luo Tian can't fight, can he? If he comes here, they'll just kill him. Forget it." Krillin shook his head. "Besides, even if he could bring us back to life right now, we still wouldn't be a match for those two."

Three hours passed in a flash.

Son Goku was still flying quickly along Snake Way.

But Snake Way stretched on endlessly, with no end in sight.

"Damn it! I've been flying for so long. Why haven't I reached the starting point yet?" Son Goku was at a loss.

Then Son Goku suddenly remembered how Luo Tian had taken him to King Kai's planet in the blink of an eye.

Why had it taken him so long to get here?

Just how fast was Luo Tian?

Son Goku couldn't even imagine it.

It was terrifying.

"Everyone, hang in there!" Son Goku was frantic.

"It's time. There's no point waiting any longer," Vegeta said coolly. "That coward Kakarot isn't coming."

"My dad isn't a coward!" Son Gohan shouted.

"Why hasn't Goku come back?" Krillin's face changed.

"Fine, I'll take my time dealing with them. It's a shame Kakarot isn't here," Nappa said, cracking his knuckles.

"I'm going to die... Damn it... I haven't even had a girlfriend yet." Krillin felt like crying.

"We have one slim chance of winning. If we can pull it off..." Piccolo said suddenly.

Krillin stared at him, stunned.

Son Gohan also looked at Piccolo.

"First, Krillin will distract him. Then I'll grab his tail while he's not looking," Piccolo explained. "His tail is his weak point. While he's struggling to get free, Gohan, you hit him as hard as you can!"

"Right! Right!" Son Gohan nodded vigorously. "I won't run away this time. You can count on me."

Despite his words, cold sweat streamed down Son Gohan's face.

"Remember, the fate of Earth is in your hands!" Piccolo said. "Gohan, if you believe in yourself, your power is even greater than mine."

Son Gohan felt his heart beating faster.

He was so nervous.

"Heh heh, are you ready to die?" Nappa grinned.

"So Goku really didn't make it back... Could all three of them have been killed?" Bulma turned pale, sweat trickling down her face.

"Oh, it looks like Goku's back," Luo Tian said with a smile.

"He's back? Where?" Bulma asked, startled.

"Kami should have gone to get him," Luo Tian said.

The Underworld.

"Goku! Quick! Grab onto me!" Kami called.

"Please, Kami!" Son Goku replied at once.

King Yemma was completely bewildered.

Who was this kid?

Where had he come from?

It felt like he'd been to King Kai's place.

But how had he gotten there?

"Whoosh!"

Kami took Son Goku with him and appeared at the Lookout in a flash.

"Okay, I'm off." Son Goku waved to Kami.

"It's all up to you," Kami said.

"Good luck, Goku," Mr. Popo said.

"Whoosh!"

Son Goku leaped off the Lookout at top speed.

"Everyone! Gohan! You have to hang in there!" Son Goku called.

As Son Goku passed Korin Tower,

"Goku, these are the last two Senzu Beans. Catch!" Master Korin tossed them to Son Goku.

Son Goku immediately ate one, restoring his strength to its peak.

"Flying Nimbus!"

Son Goku stepped onto the golden cloud.

"Whoosh!"

Flying Nimbus carried Son Goku rapidly toward Piccolo and the others.

"Yaaah!" Krillin shouted, charging straight at Nappa.

"What are you doing? You're actually attacking me?" Nappa was taken aback.

Was this little bald guy really coming over to get himself killed?
