"200,000!" Son Goku wore a strained smile, laughing helplessly as he said, "I finally managed to raise my strength a bit more over these past two days, but I never expected Soro to improve even faster than me!"
He scratched his head, his smile tinged with a hint of bitterness.
"Whoosh!"
Piccolo didn't hesitate for a second, instantly shooting into the sky as his body transformed into a green afterimage.
He flew rapidly in the direction of Soro, vanishing into the distant sky in the blink of an eye.
Son Goku and Son Gohan exchanged a glance, then took to the air to follow him.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
The three of them streaked across the sky like three bright trails of flame.
Their figures tore through the clouds, dragging long wakes behind them as they sped toward Soro's location.
Upon arriving above Soro's position, Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Piccolo all stopped at once.
They hovered in mid-air, looking down, and were struck dumb with shock.
On the wasteland below, a massive black Great Ape stood tall upon the earth.
His body blotted out the sky, black fur rippling slightly in the wind, his two thick arms hanging at his sides with fists larger than millstones.
His chest was as broad as a mountain wall, and every breath he took stirred up a gale, sending gravel on the ground rolling in every direction.
His eyes were golden, the pupils narrowed into slits, and he was looking up at them.
"Great Ape..." Son Goku's expression was one of bewilderment, his mouth slightly agape, "Isn't this the Great Ape monster?"
His eyes widened, and his body involuntarily leaned back.
"I remember my grandfather was trampled to death by this monster. How has it appeared again?"
Son Goku's brows knitted together as he scanned the Great Ape twice.
Piccolo: "..."
Piccolo looked at Son Goku, speechless, his mouth twitching as he struggled to find a response.
Don't you know you can turn into this yourself?
Your son can turn into one too!
It seems that by seeing a full moon and having a tail, one can transform.
The problem is... didn't I destroy the moon?
Piccolo suddenly looked up, his gaze locking onto the bright golden sphere in the sky, his pupils constricting slightly.
"This... this is the moon!" Piccolo said in a low voice, his fists clenching involuntarily.
"What do you mean, the moon?" Son Goku asked hurriedly, tilting his head toward Piccolo, "What are you talking about, Piccolo?"
"You still don't get it?" Piccolo said in a deep voice, pulling his gaze away from the Artificial Full Moon, "This is a unique transformation of the Saiyans! It seems that by using a full moon and a tail, one can become like this!"
"Moon? Tail?" A flash of confusion crossed Son Goku's face.
He looked down at his waist; his tail had been gone for a long time.
Then he looked back up at the Great Ape.
After a brief moment of stagnation, his expression suddenly froze.
It was as if a bolt of lightning had struck his brain.
"Could it be..." Son Goku's voice turned dry, his Adam's apple bobbing, "that the one who trampled my grandfather to death back then was me... and the one who caused chaos at the World Martial Arts Tournament was also me?"
His fists clenched, cracking audibly.
"This is truly terrible... I should have apologized to my grandfather properly when I died last time!"
"Dad..." Son Gohan whispered, his small face filled with worry, not wanting his father to be too sad.
"So." Son Goku took a deep breath, looked up, and fixed his gaze back on the Great Ape, "Is that Soro?"
"Correct." Piccolo nodded with a grave expression, arms crossed over his chest, "It should be him."
He paused, his gaze turning profound.
"What powerful energy!"
Son Goku's eyes lit up, the figure of the Great Ape reflected in his pupils.
"Let's go say hello." Son Goku said, intending to head down immediately to greet Soro.
However, Piccolo grabbed Son Goku's clothes and pulled him back.
Son Goku was startled, his body swaying in the air as he looked back at Piccolo, unsure of what he meant.
"Son Goku." Piccolo's voice grew deeper, his eyes fixed on the Great Ape below, "Think carefully: when you turned into a Great Ape back then, did you still have your sanity?"
"Eh?" Son Goku rubbed his chin, his expression turning serious, "That's right! I think I lost my sanity; I don't remember anything about turning into a Great Ape."
"Including Gohan." Piccolo added, shifting his gaze to Son Gohan, "After turning into a Great Ape, he also completely lost his sanity."
"Uncle Piccolo..." Son Gohan scratched his head, feeling a bit confused, "When did I turn into a Great Ape?"
"Look," Piccolo said in a deep voice, his gaze returning to the Great Ape, "Gohan doesn't even remember! If we go down there now, there's a chance we'll be killed by Soro instantly."
"Then what do we do?" Son Goku asked, spreading his hands before him, "His energy is too strong right now; even if I use the triple Kaioken, I might not be his match."
"The only way," Piccolo proposed, pointing two fingers toward the sky, "is to shatter the moon in the sky!"
"So that's it!" Son Goku realized with a start, his eyes brightening.
"We will attack the moon in the sky together!" Piccolo decided decisively, clenching his hand into a fist in front of him.
The three of them looked up simultaneously, their gazes locked onto the golden Artificial Full Moon in the sky.
Ki began to surge within their bodies.
Just as the three of them were about to release their energy to shatter the Artificial Full Moon:
"Hey."
A low voice came from below, like muffled thunder rolling across the earth.
"Don't you three go breaking my moon, get down here!"
All three were stunned, their bodies freezing in mid-air as they immediately looked down at the Great Ape below.
That black Great Ape was looking up at them, a hint of a smile in his golden eyes.
"Rest assured, I haven't lost my reason," Soro chuckled, revealing a mouth of sharp fangs, his white, gleaming teeth shining in the sunlight, "There is no need to be afraid."
Hearing Soro say this, the heart Son Goku had been holding finally settled.
His shoulders relaxed, and a grin spread across his face.
Without the slightest hesitation, he immediately descended rapidly from the sky, his body diving downward.
However, Son Goku did not land, instead hovering near Soro's head, eye-level with those massive eyes.
After all, Soro had become truly enormous.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Piccolo frowned, then followed and appeared beside Son Goku.
He crossed his arms over his chest, his gaze lingering on Soro's face for two seconds, and only relaxed slightly after confirming there was no intent to attack.
Son Gohan followed closely behind, hovering beside Piccolo.
He suddenly said, "I remember now, Uncle Piccolo!"
He clapped his hands together in front of him.
"I was wondering why my clothes had suddenly changed back then; so it was because I had turned into a Great Ape?"
"Correct," Piccolo nodded slightly, his gaze not shifting from Soro.
"Soro!" Son Goku marveled, sighing in wonder, his eyes shining, "This transformation of yours is truly incredible! Your energy hasn't just increased by a little bit!"
