Son Goku looked at Piccolo, then at Vegeta, but didn't say much, simply crossing his arms and standing to the side.
"Uncle Piccolo is so amazing!" Son Gohan's eyes were filled with stars of adoration, sparkling brightly. "Two months ago, we weren't even his match!"
Piccolo smiled as he looked at Son Gohan, his gaze softening for a brief moment.
He then shifted his focus to Vegeta, his eyes gradually turning cold and the corners of his mouth dipping slightly.
"Vegeta," Piccolo said in a low, chilling voice, "I still haven't settled the score with you for what happened on Earth!"
"This... how is this possible?" Vegeta's expression was one of utter bewilderment. His eyes widened, reflecting Piccolo's figure, and his voice carried a hint of disbelief. "I was knocked down by a single punch from a Namekian?"
High in the sky, Cui's pupils constricted. His mouth hung slightly open as he stared at Piccolo in shock.
His Adam's apple bobbed, and a layer of cold sweat broke out across his back.
Did I see that right?
This Namekian actually knocked Vegeta down?
Vegeta must have been careless, right?
Wait a minute...
Why am I having trouble figuring out their relationship?
What exactly is the connection between these people?
"You... which side are you actually on?" Cui asked, looking at Soro, his voice tinged with confusion.
"I'm with them." Soro pointed toward Piccolo, Son Goku, and the others, gesturing downward.
"Then... you aren't with Vegeta?" Cui asked again, raising an eyebrow.
"No." Soro chuckled, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"That's good." Cui let out a long sigh of relief, his shoulders slumping.
No sooner had he finished speaking than Cui suddenly felt his stomach churning violently.
His expression shifted, his brows knitting together tightly as he clutched his abdomen with both hands.
"My stomach... what's wrong with it?" Cui's voice trembled, fine beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead. "You didn't poison the eggs, did you?"
His gaze became guarded, his lips trembling slightly.
"Poison?" Soro feigned a look of confusion, tilting his head and blinking twice. "What do you mean?"
"No... maybe I'm just overthinking it." Cui shook his head, his brows relaxing and then furrowing again.
He felt that Soro didn't seem to be faking it; the expression was too natural.
After all, this group of people appeared to be quite formidable.
Cui's gaze swept from Soro to Son Goku, Piccolo, and Son Gohan below, then pulled back.
It would be best to establish a good relationship with this group first!
If I could bring them to Lord Frieza, that would be ideal.
Then I wouldn't be in danger of losing my life anymore.
The corners of Cui's mouth lifted slightly, then quickly pulled back into a straight line.
"Hm? My stomach?"
Just as Cui was thinking this, he suddenly felt his stomach beginning to swell, his abdomen expanding like a balloon being inflated.
"What is happening to my stomach?" Cui was bewildered. He looked down, placing his hands on his distended belly, his eyes wide as saucers.
Soro watched Cui's stomach silently, his gaze fixed on the bulging curve.
He suddenly noticed that Cui's stomach was swelling much slower than Krillin's had.
From pregnancy to laying an egg, it had taken Krillin at most five minutes.
For Stone and Little Tree, it had been even shorter—less than three minutes.
He wondered how long it would take for Cui to lay his egg.
Soro watched Cui's stomach with great anticipation, arms crossed, head tilted to the side.
"No, my stomach hurts!" Cui's face twisted, the veins on his forehead bulging.
He lost his balance and immediately plummeted from the sky, falling toward the ground like a stone.
However, the fall was disastrous; due to his previous injuries, he accidentally slammed his stomach directly onto the surface of Namek.
"Pfft—"
Cui spat out a large mouthful of blood instantly, a mist of crimson spraying into the air.
Bright red blood began to flow from his backside, staining the blue grass beneath him.
At the same time, his stomach rapidly deflated, returning from a round bulge to its original flat state.
Soro stared blankly at Cui, the corner of his mouth twitching, before he reached up to stroke his chin, rubbing his fingers against it a few times.
Did he miscarry?
This won't do!
I still wanted to use you as a lab rat.
If you miscarry now, how are you supposed to be a lab rat?
Soro took a deep breath, his gaze settling back onto Cui.
He stared at Cui once more without blinking, his pupils locked onto Cui's body.
One second.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
"Damn it!" Vegeta flew into a rage and let out a roar, his voice exploding in the air like a thunderclap. "A mere Namekian dares to be insolent before me!"
He leaped up from the ground, pushed off with his feet, and launched his body forward like a projectile.
Immediately after, Vegeta rushed in, raining punches and kicks down upon Piccolo.
The blows fell like raindrops, each strike carrying a surge of energy that tore through the air with a sharp, whistling sound.
Piccolo handled it with ease.
After a few rounds of exchanging blows, Piccolo thrust his knee upward, the kneecap slamming into Vegeta's stomach as the energy pierced through his abdomen.
"Pfft..."
Vegeta spat out a spray of blood, droplets of crimson flying from the corners of his mouth.
His eyes bulged, and he felt his entire world collapse; clutching his stomach, he slumped to the ground, his body curling up like a shrimp.
"I thought you were something special," Piccolo said with a disdainful smile, his lips curling into a mocking arc. "Turns out this is all you've got."
Vegeta stared at Piccolo, dumbfounded, his eyes wide and round. Piccolo's figure was reflected in his pupils, and his heart was filled with utter shock.
Back on Earth, this Namekian couldn't even defeat Nappa.
In just two short months.
How had his combat power become so strong?
"Could it be..." Vegeta asked in surprise, his voice laced with a hint of unwillingness. "Do you Namekians get a combat power bonus when you return to your home planet?"
"No." Piccolo shook his head decisively, his chin lifting slightly.
Whether there was a bonus or not, Piccolo knew clearly.
After all, since arriving on Namek, Piccolo hadn't felt his energy increase at all.
"No?" Vegeta was a bit confused.
"This is simply the result of our training," Piccolo said, the corners of his mouth lifting into a faint smile. "Nothing more."
"Uh, Vegeta." Soro shouted from the distance, his voice carrying across the empty wilderness. "Piccolo's current combat power is 60,000."
"Y-you... what did you say?" Vegeta gasped, his jaw nearly hitting the floor. "This Namekian's combat power is 60,000? That's impossible! That is absolutely impossible!"
"It seems Vegeta isn't up to the task." Son Goku shook his head in disappointment, arms crossed over his chest with a bitter smile on his face. "I was actually looking forward to having a good spar with him."
"My combat power is 60,000?" Piccolo mused, tapping his chin with his finger. He glanced at Son Goku and speculated, "Then, has Son Goku's combat power reached 90,000?"
