Inspector Megure's face lit up with delight. It seemed they had truly found the murderer; the pressure on him could finally be lifted.

Inspector Megure then quietly explained his intentions. After learning what he wanted, Shin agreed without hesitation.
"Thanks, Brother Shin. The entire Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department will be grateful to you." Inspector Megure left right away.
"Shin, what did Inspector Megure say to you? There won't be any trouble over this, right?" Ran Mouri hurriedly asked Shin.

"We can leave now. Let Inspector Megure handle everything that remains." Shin said, taking Ran's hand.
