Attacking Sarutobi Hiruzen

Even after gaining the Mangekyō Sharingan and the chakra boost it provided, he was only at elite jōnin level.

Counting the abilities of the Mangekyō Sharingan, at best he could briefly unleash Kage Level strength. That still wasn't much to brag about in Konoha.

He would probably last only a little while before the people of Konoha took him down. Wouldn't that be like handing them the Mangekyō Sharingan?

Chapter 47: Attacking Sarutobi Hiruzen

But if he didn't go, all Hyuga Shin's efforts would go to waste. More importantly, Hyuga Shin wanted to cause Danzo some trouble.

Danzo had already taken notice of him. Whatever the reason, Hyuga Shin still wanted to divert Danzo's attention.

"Shin, what are you thinking about?" Mikoto gently tugged at him.

"What should we do with this guy?" Kushina pointed at the puppet. When Hyuga Shin had just ordered him to dig out his eyes, the bloody scene had frightened even Kushina.

"I have my own plans. You don't need to worry about it." Hyuga Shin took Mikoto's hand in one of his and Kushina's in the other, and led them away.

"Mikoto, Kushina, we may still be young, but since we've chosen to become shinobi, we have to get used to it. For shinobi, killing and bloodshed are unavoidable."

Hyuga Shin spoke to the two girls.

"Mm! I know." Kushina nodded. In truth, she had already been through even crueler things. When the Land of Whirlpools fell, countless members of her clan had died before her eyes. It had been hundreds of times bloodier than what she had just seen.

Mikoto smiled gently. She had indeed felt a little uncomfortable just now, but after Hyuga Shin held her hand, her heart had settled.

After taking the two girls home, Mikoto went to cook, and Kushina went along to help. But although she called it helping, Kushina knew nothing about cooking and was really just making a mess.

The Hokage Building was brightly lit. It was already midnight, yet Sarutobi Hiruzen was still working in his office. That was the miserable life of being Hokage.

Sarutobi Hiruzen held a document and was reading it, preparing to approve it, when the door to the Hokage's office opened.

A person dressed as an Anbu member walked in with his head lowered.

"Hmm? Who are you? Why haven't I seen you before?" Sarutobi Hiruzen frowned at the 'Anbu' member.

"The one who's going to kill you." He raised his head. His blood-red eyes stared straight at Sarutobi Hiruzen, filled with murderous intent and savagery. Three black tomoe spun in his eyes.

"By Lord Danzo's order, I've come to take your worthless life. Die, Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression darkened. He formed hand seals and used Earth Style: Earth Wall to block the fire dragon rushing toward him.

The Anbu secretly protecting Sarutobi Hiruzen reacted as well. In an instant, they appeared all around Uchiha Ryo, surrounding him.

"Who exactly are you?" Sarutobi Hiruzen's face darkened. Although his assailant claimed to be acting on Danzo's orders, he wouldn't believe information from an enemy—especially one with the Sharingan.

Or rather, Sarutobi Hiruzen didn't want to believe it.

"Hmph! The dead don't need to ask so many questions. Mangekyō Sharingan, awaken!"

Uchiha Ryo's Sharingan spun rapidly, transforming into the shape of a Wind Demon Shuriken. An evil aura enveloped the entire building. Several Anbu Ninja were so shaken that the Kunai in their hands fell to the ground.

"This is the Mangekyō Sharingan! You awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Sarutobi Hiruzen was truly shocked this time.

Sarutobi Hiruzen had practically grown up hearing stories of the Mangekyō Sharingan. He had even seen the incomparably powerful Madara Uchiha and knew just how strong the Mangekyō Sharingan was.

"Take him down with everything you've got!" Sarutobi Hiruzen shouted, then used the B-rank Fire Release: Flame Bullet.

The others sprang into action, throwing Kunai and Shuriken mixed with Explosive Tags at Uchiha Ryo.

Under normal circumstances, Uchiha Ryo might really have been done for. But if someone with the Mangekyō Sharingan could be taken down that easily, it would be an insult to the Mangekyō Sharingan.

A yellow arm appeared, blocking every attack. Uchiha Ryo emerged unharmed.

This was Susanoo's initial form. Although its defenses weren't very strong, they were enough to withstand most ninjutsu attacks.

As Uchiha Ryo's chakra was consumed, a chakra-formed skeleton enveloped him. Flesh and sinews rapidly grew over the bones, and at last it donned Crow Tengu Armor, reaching its third form.

The enormous Susanoo stood thirty meters tall, as massive as a small mountain. The Hokage Building had already been shattered, and Sarutobi Hiruzen was blasted away.

The powerful, evil chakra startled all of Konoha. Countless shinobi woke from their sleep and stared at the enormous Susanoo, which filled them with despair.

"What in the world is happening? Is someone attacking Konoha?"

"It looks like it's coming from the Hokage Building! Hurry and check it out. I hope nothing's happened to Lord Hokage."

Countless shinobi rushed toward the Hokage Building.
