"Could it be the cursed piano? Was Mr. Kawashima killed by a curse?" secretary Kazuaki Hirata cried out in panic.
"This isn't some curse. It's clearly a murder case." Kogoro Mouri picked up the recorder beside him.
"The piano music came from here. Someone obviously recorded it beforehand," Kogoro Mouri said calmly.
Conan kept circling the corpse, crouching down to search the floor for clues, but nearly everyone ignored him.
But not everyone failed to notice Conan. Vermouth's gaze fell on him, and she found him increasingly strange.
If he merely seemed a little mature before, then something is definitely wrong now, Vermouth thought to herself.
Conan's behavior at that moment was nothing like that of an elementary school student. No elementary schooler would remain unfazed at the sight of a corpse, much less go over and examine it.
There are wet sandy marks on the floor, and they're salty. Could it be seawater? Conan thought to himself.
"The victim died of asphyxiation." Seiji Asai examined him before speaking calmly.
"Asphyxiation? With this long trail of water, could Mr. Kawashima have been killed by the sea and then dragged here?" Conan ran to the window and looked out at the ocean, making his guess.
"Ran, let's go outside!" Finding it uninteresting, Chen pulled the trembling Ran outside.
Vermouth gave a deep look to a certain great detective still searching for clues, then headed outside as well.
"Ran, are you scared?" Chen asked as he looked at her.
"Chen, do you think a curse might really have killed him?" Ran asked Chen.
It was not that Ran was afraid of corpses, but rather that she feared the legend. After all, this place had terrifying rumors surrounding it.
"You're overthinking it. How could curses exist?" Chen said nonchalantly, leaning against the wall.
