After giving it some thought, Heiji Hattori felt that was possible too. So Conan dragged him off to buy baigan liquor.
They searched a huge supermarket before finally managing to buy two bottles of baigan.
"Are you really going to drink it?" Heiji Hattori asked.
Conan gritted his teeth, picked up a bottle, and chugged it in one go. The fiery burn made tears stream from his eyes, but Conan forced himself to keep drinking.
If it could turn him back, he would drink it even if it perforated his stomach.
Conan was truly ruthless. He drank both bottles without stopping for even a moment.
After finishing them, he passed out without showing the slightest change.
Heiji Hattori looked at Conan helplessly. Conan was drunk now, so he definitely could not be taken back to the Mouri Detective Agency.
"I'll take you to a hotel first." Carrying Conan on his back, Heiji Hattori headed toward a hotel.
It seemed baigan was useless after all. He did not know whether Conan had developed a resistance to it or whether it simply had not taken effect yet.
That was also why Heiji Hattori did not take Conan home. What if the baigan's effects were delayed, and Conan suddenly turned into Shinichi Kudo after being sent back?
Elsewhere, Chen and Ran finished dinner.
"Chen, I want to go back and check whether Dad and Conan have returned," Ran said to Chen.
"Alright, I'll take you back." Chen got into the car and had Ran get in.
Ran looked at Chen, hesitating as if she wanted to say something but could not bring herself to do so.
"Ran, is there something you
