"If I said it had nothing to do with me, you wouldn't believe me. If I said it did, there'd be nothing you could do about it anyway."
Shin took Ai's hand and walked inside.
That guy from earlier was probably part of a criminal gang. Quite a few cars were parked in this warehouse, all brand-new luxury vehicles without even license plates.
"A criminal organization smuggling vehicles illegally?" Shin looked at the luxury cars.
"Ai, pick whichever one you like. We can take any of them," Shin said to Ai.
"I'm not interested in cars. Besides, I can't drive anyway." Ai rolled her eyes.
With her tiny arms and legs, she probably would not even be able to see over the steering wheel from the driver's seat. Her short legs could not even reach the clutch or brake.
"These things aren't yours to do whatever you want with." Heiji Hattori walked in, took a deep breath, and suppressed the anger in his heart as he spoke.
Conan and Heiji Hattori were practically about to explode with rage. For a detective, seeing a murderer get away scot-free was enough to make them too angry to eat.
"What do we do? Are we really going to watch that guy get away with it?" Heiji Hattori muttered furiously to Conan.
"How would I know?" Conan rolled his eyes. He had no idea what to do either.
There was no evidence. As for that man's death, Heiji Hattori and Conan merely suspected that Shin was connected to it. Who would believe their speculation?
Moreover, those police officers had not paid them any attention at all. Shin must have been behind that too.
"No, we can't let Hyuga Shin keep acting so recklessly. We have to find a way to send him to prison."
