Hyuuga Hiashi's Shock

After leaving the Hokage Office.

Temari stayed by Su Yu's side.

This was because of Tsunade's mission.

Su Yu was responsible for protecting and looking after Temari.

When they arrived at the entrance to the Hyuga Clan compound.

The Hyuga Clan member on guard saw Su Yu and bowed to him.

Su Yu nodded, then led Temari into the Hyuga Clan courtyard.

As soon as they entered the courtyard.

He saw Hinata Hyuga training.

And Hyuga Hiashi instructing her.

Hyuga Hiashi noticed Su Yu and smiled faintly.

Although Su Yu had left Konoha, he hadn't become a rogue ninja. Tsunade had even taken him into the Hokage Direct Squad. She had personally visited Hyuga Hiashi to tell him about it.

This led Hyuga Hiashi to believe that Su Yu had become a high-ranking member of the Hokage's faction, someone close to the Fifth Hokage.

Given his status, as well as his relationship with Hinata Hyuga, the Hyuga Clan was extremely supportive of Fifth Hokage Tsunade.

After taking office, Tsunade had thanked all the clans that had protected Konoha during the Konoha Crush.

These clans were familiar with Tsunade and welcomed her return to Konoha.

Nara Shikaku had even become Fifth Hokage Tsunade's advisor. Whenever something important came up, Tsunade would call him to her side and discuss it with him.

Hinata Hyuga was training with such focus that she didn't notice Su Yu and Temari behind her.

"Ahem, Hinata, Su Yu is here," Hyuga Hiashi reminded her.

Hinata Hyuga froze for a moment, then turned to look behind her.

When she saw Su Yu, her face lit up.

But then she noticed Temari, and her expression turned a little complicated.

Su Yu walked up to Hinata Hyuga. Before she could say anything, he pulled her into his arms.

"I missed you. I thought about you every day."

"I... I missed you too."

Hearing Su Yu's words, Hinata Hyuga was overwhelmed by longing and hugged him tightly.

Hyuga Hiashi watched from the side, then turned away and pretended not to notice.

Temari looked envious.

Once Su Yu let go of Hinata Hyuga.

Su Yu and Hyuga Hiashi left.

Hinata Hyuga looked at Temari.

They weren't complete strangers, after all.

Temari knew a lot about Konoha. The Hyuga Clan's young lady couldn't possibly be without information.

And Hinata Hyuga had remembered Temari well because of her strength.

In the Hyuga Clan's reception room.

Hyuga Hiashi poured Su Yu a cup of hot tea.

"Su Yu, your disappearance worried Hinata and me for days. Now that you're back, you should spend some time with her," Hyuga Hiashi said softly.

He liked Su Yu more and more.

"I'm sorry, Clan Head Hyuga. I didn't disappear. I actually defected," Su Yu said after a brief silence.

Hyuga Hiashi froze.

"I found out how my parents died. They were killed by a high-ranking member of Konoha," Su Yu continued.

"The person you mean... couldn't be Danzo?"

"You guessed right. It was Danzo."

"Are you sure there wasn't some misunderstanding?" Hyuga Hiashi asked anxiously.

"Danzo probably doesn't know everything about me. Tsunade knows all my secrets, so I wasn't put on the missing-nin list after I defected. I'm valuable enough that she thinks I'm worth raising and can forgive me," Su Yu said.

His eyes turned into the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Hyuga Hiashi's pupils contracted, and his face filled with shock.

The next second.

He sprang to his feet in astonishment.

Because Su Yu's eyes had changed again, becoming the Byakugan of the Hyuga Clan.

"Do you understand my value now?" Su Yu deactivated the Byakugan, and his eyes returned to normal.

"Su Yu, you... how..." Hyuga Hiashi could barely get the words out.

"These aren't transplanted eyes. I was born with both bloodlines. In addition, I have the Uzumaki Clan's bloodline, which is enough to make me eligible to become a Jinchuriki. But Tsunade has always been wary of me and doesn't dare let me become one," Su Yu explained slowly.

"I have no ambitions. I only want to grow stronger and avenge my parents. Even if I have to stay hidden and protect Konoha from the shadows, I'll do it willingly." Su Yu looked at Hyuga Hiashi and picked up his tea.

"Su Yu, you... be careful," Hyuga Hiashi said. He knew that given the Hyuga Clan's current position, there was nothing they could do to help Su Yu.

"Once I awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan or become strong enough, I'll deal with Danzo. Kakashi might take over Root's forces. He's the most likely candidate to become its new leader," Su Yu warned him.

The change in how he addressed him meant that he had joined the Hyuga Clan's faction and formally tied himself to the clan.

After discussing the important matters with Hyuga Hiashi, Su Yu received a sum of money.

It was Hyuga Hiashi's personal money, set aside for Hinata Hyuga. He told Su Yu not to tell her about it.

Su Yu knew Hyuga Hiashi had his difficulties. As a father, he didn't want his daughter to become part of the Branch Family like his brother and have that soul-binding mark carved into her.

With Su Yu's help, Hinata Hyuga had grown a lot.

Once Su Yu grew strong enough.

With his Byakugan, he would be fully qualified to become the next head of the Hyuga Clan.

That could make it possible to change the system of Main Family and Branch Family.

He even gave Su Yu all the information on the Caged Bird Seal and had another person accompany Su Yu.
