Hyuga Hiashi's Shock

After leaving the Hokage Office.

Temari followed Su Yu the entire time.

This was due to Tsunade's mission.

Su Yu was responsible for protecting and looking after Temari.

They arrived at the gates of the Hyuga Clan compound.

The Hyuga Clan members guarding the gate saw Su Yu and bowed to him.

Su Yu gave a slight nod and, with Temari in tow, walked into the courtyard of the Hyuga Clan.

As soon as they entered the courtyard.

He saw Hinata Hyuga in the middle of her training.

Hyuga Hiashi was there, guiding her.

Hyuga Hiashi noticed Su Yu and offered a faint smile.

Although Su Yu had left Konoha, he had not become a rogue ninja; Tsunade had even personally visited Hyuga Hiashi to inform him that she had recruited Su Yu into the Hokage Direct Squad.

This led Hyuga Hiashi to believe that Su Yu had become a high-ranking member of the Hokage's faction, someone close to the Fifth Hokage.

With such a status, combined with the relationship between Su Yu and Hinata Hyuga, the Hyuga Clan was extremely supportive of the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade.

After Tsunade took office, she expressed her gratitude to all the clans that had protected Konoha during the Konoha Crush.

"Su Yu-kun, your disappearance caused Hinata and me to worry for many days. Now that you've returned, you must spend some quality time with Hinata," Hyuga Hiashi said softly.

He found Su Yu more and more agreeable as time went on.

"My apologies, Clan Leader Hyuga, but I didn't just disappear. In truth, I defected," Su Yu said after a moment of silence.

Hyuga Hiashi was stunned by these words.

"I discovered the cause of my parents' deaths. They were murdered by a high-ranking official in Konoha," Su Yu continued.

"The person you're speaking of, surely it isn't Danzo..."

"You guessed correctly. It is Danzo."

"Could there be some misunderstanding in all this?" Hyuga Hiashi asked, sounding worried.

"Danzo likely doesn't know everything about me yet. Lady Tsunade knows all of my current secrets, which is why I didn't appear on the list of rogue ninjas after I defected. I possess great value, enough for Lady Tsunade to deem me worth cultivating and worth forgiving," Su Yu explained.

As he spoke, his eyes shifted into the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Hyuga Hiashi's pupils constricted, his face filled with shock.

The next second.

He was so startled that he stood up abruptly.

Because, Su Yu's eyes had transformed into the Byakugan of the Hyuga Clan.

"Now, do you understand my value?" Su Yu deactivated the Byakugan, his eyes returning to normal.

"Su Yu-kun, you... how is this..." Hyuga Hiashi was momentarily speechless.

"These are not transplanted eyes, but two bloodlines I was born with. Beyond that, I also possess the bloodline of the Uzumaki Clan, which is enough to qualify me as a Jinchuriki. However, Lady Tsunade has always been wary of me and dares not let me become one," Su Yu said slowly.

"I have no ambition; I only wish to grow stronger and avenge my parents. Even if I must remain in the shadows to protect Konoha, I am willing," Su Yu looked at Hyuga Hiashi and picked up his hot tea.

"Su Yu-kun, you... be careful in all things." Hyuga Hiashi knew that given the Hyuga Clan's current position, he could not offer Su Yu any help.

"Once I awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan or gain sufficient strength, I will deal with Danzo. The forces of Root will likely be taken over by Kakashi; he is the most probable candidate to become the new leader of Root," Su Yu reminded him.
