Nan Feng was originally a Hundred-Thousand-Year Death Spider Emperor who survived Death Canyon through constant vigilance, predation, and calculated violence. When Bibi Dong hunted him down and left him with no viable path of escape, he chose sacrifice rather than a futile final battle. During the soul fusion, he seized control of her Death Spider Emperor martial soul and bound his soul origin to hers through a Soul Blood Pact, forcing their continued coexistence. 1 191 238

His early strategy centered on survival. He used his knowledge of Bibi Dong's history and ambitions to make himself indispensable, helped her rapidly strengthen her second martial soul, and engineered Qian Xunji's death while maintaining an alibi through the avatar. 3 10 14 Although he initially intended to gradually raise Qian Renxue as a daughter and secure a stable balance within Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong's revenge and their deeper soul fusion destabilized those plans. 272
