History

Qian Xunji held the Papacy before Bibi Dong. After Tang Hao severely wounded him, Qian Daoliu assigned the Saintess Bibi Dong to handle the affairs of the Pope Palace in his stead. 5

Following Qian Xunji's death, Qian Daoliu and Golden Crocodile Douluo concealed Bibi Dong's responsibility and blamed Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect. They installed Bibi Dong as Pope to preserve Spirit Hall's stability while keeping a dangerous, ambitious figure under supervision. 13

Bibi Dong's succession faced immediate opposition because of her age and gender. She ended the dispute by revealing her Title Douluo strength and a hundred-thousand-year soul ring, forcing the assembled Cardinals and elders to recognize her authority. 13 24

Her formal coronation was deliberately rushed and understated. Qian Daoliu and Golden Crocodile intended to limit her prestige and leave her dependent on the existing power structure. 23 Nan Feng instead used Bibi Dong's body to turn the ceremony into a display of overwhelming strength and a call for war against the Clear Sky Sect, rapidly transforming the new Pope into a feared wartime leader. 24 25
