Bibi Dong was once Yu Xiaogang's lover. Their relationship ended badly when he left her more than twenty years before their reunion in Pope Palace. Despite becoming the powerful Pope of Spirit Hall, she never stopped loving him 74 110 111 112.

Qian Xunji was her teacher and the former Pope. Leng Jun reveals that Bibi Dong killed him by devouring his flesh and soul, contradicting the account Ghost had accepted under Qian Daoliu's authority. Ghost and Yue Guan subsequently served Bibi Dong on Qian Daoliu's orders, unaware that she had killed their former master 109 223.
