Background / History
Soul Hall initially operates through Protectors and pursues powerful souls. A Protector recognizes Yao Chen and attempts to capture him, claiming he had previously been punished by the Hall Master for allowing Yao Chen to escape. Xiao Ze repels the attempt. 33
The organization continues targeting Xiao Ze and valuable resources. A black-robed Soul Hall alchemist, implied to be Old Man Mu Gu, attempts to capture Xiao Ze and is killed. Later, Soul Hall infiltrators and three Honored Elders exploit Xiao Ze's attempt to refine the Three Thousand Burning Flame, only to be eliminated by Xiao Ze's clones. 77 101 102
After Xiao Yan discovers a major hidden branch in the Central Plains, Xiao Ze, Yao Lao, Feng Xian, and Xiao Yan launch a retaliatory assault. The branch’s Protectors, Honored Elders, Old Ghost Zhaixing, the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns, and other elites are killed; the branch is destroyed and Soul Hall retreats from the Central Plains for a time. 109 111 113 115
Soul Hall later reemerges against the newly founded Nine Heavens Alliance. It sends five Dou Saint clones led by a Vice Hall Master to demand the Xiao Tribe’s ancient jade and intimidate the alliance, but Xiao Ze destroys all five clones. 197
The organization subsequently supports raids on alliance territory, destroying strongholds and abducting alchemists. In response, Xiao Ze and Zi Yan attack Heavenly Dipper Hall’s Human Hall, killing its Heavenly Venerable, Great Heavenly Venerable, and Vice Master before burning the hall into ruins. 201 202 203
Following the destruction of Human Hall, Soul Hall joins the struggle for the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame and repeatedly clashes with Xiao Ze. Its Hall Master retreats from a direct confrontation before the Demonic Flame Space opens, unsuccessfully attempts to ambush Xiao Ze within that space, and later formally challenges the Nine Heavens Alliance at the Peak of the Fallen. 205 208 210
At the Peak of the Fallen, the Soul Hall Master, Soul Demon Elder, and Hun Qianmo face Xiao Ze together. Xiao Ze kills all three, after which the surviving Soul Hall experts flee and the Nine Heavens Alliance takes over Soul Hall’s sphere of influence. 212 213
