Background / History
The Hun Clan is an ancient and exceptionally powerful faction opposed to the Xiao Tribe. It was responsible for surrounding and killing Xiao Xuan, annihilating the Xiao Tribe, and coveting the Xiao bloodline. At the Xiao Tribe's height, it could only stand on equal footing with the Hun Clan; Xiao Xuan warned that the clan was likely stronger than the Ancient Clan and acted through treachery. 150 164 167
Its public-facing force, the Soul Hall, serves as only one part of its wider power. The clan uses Soul Hall agents for surveillance, soul collection, and infiltration, including an undercover agent within the Little Pill Tower whose betrayal led to the Tower Master's death. 192
The clan's long-term objective was to gather the eight pieces of the Tou She Ancient God Jade, open the Ancient Emperor Cave Mansion, and obtain the means to reach the Dou Di realm. Hun Tiandi described this as the Hun Clan's millennium-long undertaking. 221 225 230

Abilities & Methods
Soul Arts
The clan's combatants wield sinister soul energy and techniques designed to attack, bind, consume, or obstruct opponents.
- Hun Li condensed soul entities into claws during his attack on Xiao Ze. 159
- Hun Qianmo used the Soul Devouring Art and a soul-energy ray. 212
- Hun Clan forces formed a defensive chain array of black chains and mist during the Black-Corner Region war. 236
- Their army deployed ghost claws and Soul Blades en masse. 234
Infiltration and Deception
The Hun Clan repeatedly uses agents, traitors, and diversions to secure strategic objectives.
- A Hun Clan mole infiltrated the Little Pill Tower, betrayed its Tower Master, and enabled his assassination. 192
- During the assault on the Ancient Realm, Hun Tiandi's army served as a diversion while Elder Guyang stole the Ancient Clan's jade. 229
- Similar internal betrayals enabled the theft of the Flame Clan and Thunder Clan ancient jades. 230 231
- The clan sealed Medicine Mountain's space to isolate the Yao Clan and prevent it from calling for aid. 222
Grievance-Powered Warfare
At the Black-Corner Region, the Hun Clan used a massive black altar entwined with grievance threads to reinforce its forces.
- The altar sent a black pillar of light into Hun Tiandi, allowing his aura to surge after he suffered backlash in battle. 234 235
- The grievance threads embodied the consequences of the clan's oppression and slaughter of living beings. 234
Major Conflicts
Conflict with the Xiao Tribe
The Hun Clan destroyed the Xiao Tribe and killed its ancestor, Xiao Xuan. Xiao Ze treats its members as enemies to be eliminated, beginning with Hun Ya and Hun Li in the Heavenly Tomb. 150 159 164 213
Heavenly Tomb Incidents
Hun Ya and Hun Li entered the Heavenly Tomb with the younger generation of the ancient clans. After Xiao Ze cleared the first level at extraordinary speed, he tracked them with soul power and killed both. Two one-star Dou Saint Hun Clan energy bodies later pursued Xiao Ze's group, followed by Hun Diao and another elder. 158 159 163 164
Outside the Heavenly Tomb, Hun Lin and another elder attempted to avenge Hun Ya and Hun Li, but Xiao Ze killed them. 168
War against the Nine Heavens Alliance
As the Nine Heavens Alliance formed, its leaders identified the Hun Clan as the true enemy behind the Soul Hall. The alliance sought support from the Pill Tower, Flower Sect, and Burning Flame Valley because the Hun Clan's soul collection and past infiltrations had created widespread resentment. 192
At the Peak of the Fallen, Hun Qianmo fought alongside the Soul Hall Master and Soul Demon Elder against Xiao Ze. All three were killed, and the Nine Heavens Alliance took over the Soul Hall's sphere of influence. 212 213
Destruction of the Yao Clan's Defenses
Hun Xuzi attended the Yao Clan's Medicine Ceremony under the pretense of participating in its alchemy competition. After demanding the Tou She Ancient God Jade, he revealed his hidden Seven-Star Dou Saint strength as the Hun Clan sealed Medicine Mountain. 219 221 222
Nihility Devouring Flame then broke the Heaven-Transforming Medicine Array. The attack destroyed the Yao Clan Ancestor's remnant soul and used Yao Clan descendants as sacrifices before Xiao Ze intervened. Xiao Ze ultimately defeated and refined Nihility Devouring Flame. 222 224
Ancient Jade Campaign
By the time of the campaign against the Ancient Clan, the Hun Clan possessed four pieces of the Tou She Ancient God Jade. It assaulted the Ancient Realm while using Elder Guyang to steal the Ancient Clan's jade, then launched parallel operations that took the Flame and Thunder Clans' jades. 225 229 230 231
These operations left only the Xiao Tribe's jade outside Hun Clan control. 231
Black-Corner Region War
The Hun Clan confronted the Ancient, Flame, and Thunder Clan alliance at the Black-Corner Region. Hun Tiandi commanded an army supported by the two remaining Demon Saints, dozens of Dou Saint-level experts, and the grievance-thread altar. 234
The battle devastated the region. Hun Tiandi used the completed Tou She Ancient God Jade to summon the Ancient God's Cave Mansion, destroying Jia Nan Academy and causing magma to flood the battlefield. 235 236
Downfall
While Hun Tiandi recovered elsewhere, Gu Yuan and Zhu Kun led the allied forces in an assault on the Hun Clan's lair. The alliance broke its defensive grand array, defeated its Dou Saint experts, and reduced its foundation to ruins over three days and nights. 242
Gu Yuan and Zhu Kun destroyed the Hun Clan's source power within the Soul Hall's main hall, preventing the clan from making a comeback. The remaining soldiers were killed, surrendered, or were hunted through the ruins. 242 243
Hun Tiandi survived the fall of the clan and was still regarded as a grave threat. 242 243
