Background

Si Kongyan first appeared as a leading prodigy of the Supreme Palace and a participant in the Artifact Refining Competition. Possessing an innate Fire Spirit Body, he was noticed by Su Mo as a possible inheritor of the Fire Burning Palace. His first interaction with Su Mo was hostile: after Nie Yu accused Su Mo of robbery and assault, Si Kongyan demanded an apology and compensation on Nie Yu's behalf. 609

During the competition, Si Kongyan lost an artifact-refining wager to Su Mo. He refused to perform the promised apprenticeship ceremony, ultimately paying one hundred thousand high-grade Spirit Stones to avoid it.
