Background / History
Meeting Ye Guyue
Ah Yin first met Ye Guyue in a city and immediately began following him affectionately. By his visit to the Blue Silver Forest, they had known each other for three years, although almost no one else knew about their relationship. She initially called him “Sister Guyue,” despite his repeated requests that she use “Brother Guyue” 27 28.
During that forest visit, Ah Yin enclosed them within Blue Silver vines and restrained him despite his protests. Ye Guyue subsequently warned her not to repeat the behavior 28.
Courtship and Marriage
Outside the Blue Silver Forest, Tang Hao blocked Ah Yin’s path while attempting to introduce himself and his brother. Frightened, she rejected him and sought shelter behind Ye Guyue when he arrived. Ye Guyue confronted Tang Hao, whose left arm was broken in the ensuing encounter 57.
After becoming intimate with Ye Guyue, Ah Yin worried that pregnancy or the discovery of her soul-beast identity would jeopardize her place beside him. She also feared upsetting Bibi Dong. Ye Guyue promised to marry her openly once she reached the Soul Saint realm and completed her transformation 58.
The two then spent two days exploring Heaven Dou City. Ye Guyue bought her a silver hairpin shaped like Blue Silver Grass and helped secure it in her hair 59.
Ah Yin later traveled alone from Heaven Dou City to join him, still anxious about Bibi Dong’s reception. She affirmed that she had chosen him from their first meeting and was willing to remain with him regardless of how many wives he had 71.
Their wedding took place at the Pope Palace before representatives of the continent’s major forces. Bibi Dong helped prepare Ah Yin, combing her hair and reassuring her before the ceremony. Tang Hao attended with Xiang Xue but struggled to watch the marriage and left early 78.
Family Life
After the wedding, Ah Yin joined Bibi Dong’s “Secret Chamber Technique” scheme, intended to help her conceive. Bibi Dong rendered Ye Guyue unconscious with Soul-Bewitching Incense; Ah Yin expressed concern about whether it would hurt him. Her pregnancy is identified in the following chapter 80 81 82.
Her son, Ye Xingchuan, later awakened both his father’s Radiant Holy Dragon and her Blue Silver Emperor martial souls, with Innate Full Soul Power 111. Ah Yin also helped care for Gu Yuena’s daughter, Ye Longyue, holding and gently rocking her 90.
Appearance
Ah Yin has long blue hair and is described as beautiful, with a gentle smile 27.
- Wedding attire: A bright red wedding dress; she nervously twisted its hem while waiting for the ceremony 78.
- Hair ornament: A silver, Blue Silver Grass-shaped hairpin purchased by Ye Guyue 59.
- Revealed soul-beast identity: A soft blue glow surrounds her, with Blue Silver Grass-like patterns appearing amid her hair 202.
Personality
Ah Yin is openly affectionate and deeply attached to Ye Guyue, but initially insecure about her position in his household. Her concerns center on being abandoned, exposing her soul-beast identity, or causing conflict with Bibi Dong. His marriage promise dispels those fears and motivates her to cultivate harder 58 71.
Her gentle demeanor contrasts with a forceful, sometimes coercive approach to intimacy. She restrains Ye Guyue against his objections early in their relationship and later continues using her vines to take the initiative. She nevertheless remains capable of shyness and hesitation, particularly when joining Bibi Dong and Gu Yuena’s contest for household precedence 28 154 155.
She also takes obligations seriously. After the Cangyu Dolphin King sacrifices itself to her, she remembers its entrustment and repeatedly leads coastal clearing operations to protect its clan 173.
